Alice Agonistes is the story of two strangers, Ron and Alice, who meet under unusual circumstance and share secrets from the past: Ron is a fugitive on the run from the law after murdering his longtime friend Jack and possibly his wife Kelly, a secret lover of Ron, with whom he had been infatuated since childhood. Traumatized as a child by her father's perpetual abuse of her mother, Alice nurses a desire to kill her own father. Fantasies of revenge haunt Alice after her mother's suicide.

Two separate paths of life intersect and fall into a spiral of no return. And yet, things are never what they seem...

A short film with multi-layer exploring

Frankly speaking, I was unable to understand it at the beginning. And then, I watched it again, and again. Really, this is not a story about a murdering but how the twisted childhood caused today's tragedy. It is almost a mission impossible to reveal so complicated memories, psychological trauma, etc. within only 30 minutes, but the film makers had done it! Although there're still some details puzzling to me, but how can I complain it when considering its overstretched budget and a novice with fantastic exploring. On the contrary, I must pay my high respect to such an admirable effort. That is why I'd like to give a full score for encouraging the film makers to continue their brave adventure in the field.
