Based on the super fast paced intro of this story, I wanted to give it at least eight stars. Overall, I really enjoyed this story about managing to solve a conflict without violence. The whole dynamic of none of the character not having real names was also kind of amusing. That being said, I found that the romance really dragged after the first episode due to the main character being so inexperienced. While this does make perfect sense within the story, the first episode gave the impression that it would be doing quite the opposite. It was also frustrating because of the unnecessary drama it caused between the characters. Will they, won't they is a dynamic that has been played out to oblivion, and its answer is even more clear in this case. At least a bit more time could have been spent on the main story without this drama, and I think it would have made this anime far better for it.

This anime is quite wonderful to watch. I actually liked it. The art was magnificent. The story was average. But I wish there were season 2. But the chances are slim. But I'd still recommend to watch.

I felt this anime was trying too hard to be one of the best fantasy genre type of animes out there. I mean the characters backgrounds were there to keep us intrigued but there was nothing original about this anime. It concentrated heavily on excessive fan service and the story was trying it's best to hold onto dear life when it was struggling to come up ways to impress me as a viewer. Instead I felt rather sorry for the story being cheaply pathetic.

To try to add postivity here, the art was pretty nice. Also the demon queen and hero were actually likeable despite their "omg that was fast" relationship. Not saying the romance was bad cause it did work in a way, I would have though rather see it slow paced. Maybe I'm too old fashioned at that lol but whatever, I do recommend watching this anime if you want fanservice added with fantasy!

I have to say i love the maturity of the content. It is not another typical emotional thriller kawaii no-brainer anime but it touches the worldly macro and micro economics, world development, military views, human values and so on. This anime delivers the evolution of a nation in a smart way and in perspective that you would never thought. This could be a story based on the historical events in Europe and potatoes. I am surprised to see the intellectual depth of the anime.

A lovely tale of a smart, beautiful and shrewd demon, who looks and behaves every inch like a doting wife! She genuinely cares for the world at large and is brilliant at navigating the politics and subterfuge of corrupt rulers.

Enter Hero, who is never named but is conveniently overpowered and a tad naive. When it comes to ladies; he is used to adoring looks by the opposite sex for his exploits. Suddenly he falls head over heels with his supposed arch foe! He sees beyond her looks and is enthralled by her perspicacity, sagacity, generosity and vision for a better world. Truly a gem of a person! (Watch him risk his life fighting her dark side!)

Thus begins a heart-warming tale of trust and sacrifice.

You'll be chucking inwardly at times and feel stirrings of righteous indignation the next!

So I saw this anime on YouTube and I just can't understand why no one else hasn't written another negative review in fact why didn't I like this movie at all if a lot of people have always complained about a lot of movies fantasy Well this anime is itugly because you copy this passage But I tell you that he is the only character that could be done quite well Demon King however his companion Hero Yes is called exactly that even if he could less have found another name because since he is a hero because he doesn't really he is none of these thingsreally a useless character and only makes negative impressions but the character that really suits me is never to be liked Female Knight this character is really the worst of all because before she hated Hero but now in that moment she is interested in him but if she is stupid and then this one reallya very pathetic comedy But I tell you that I'm the first to write a bad review because we always have the same things or a main programmer who is really one of the worst because he really has no use for this anime for me if everyone hated it dungeons &dragons is Eragon Well for me those movies were a thousand times better than maoyuu maou yuushato conclude vote 2.

This is the story about human and demons.once there a war broke out between humans and demons and how that effects the lives of humans and demons. How the hero and demon king working together to bring peace to this chaos world all this is story about. Dont expect a grand fight.still i assure you, you will not get bored in any episode. The mao sama and the hero relationship add a little flavour to this story like a cherry on the top of the cake. This broke my heart when they left the story in the middle and later i found out that the studio went bankrupt and this show couldn't get the attention it deserved. I was in tears when i found out there will be no second season of this masterpiece.

This series seriously need to be among the bests.still it failed to attract the viewers i dont know why?? I was going through the YouTube and found about this and listening to the story i thought this would be interesting and i found out a masterpiece. This is the story about the war between the humans and demons. How the hero and the demon king deal with the situation to bring peace.this is the story of this.the war consequences,merit,demerit,economics, romance all things are available in there.seriously all characters are well made you will not find a single character who is annoying.the best show of 2013 award would have goes to this G. O. A. T.its a shame this isn't popular as one punch man,spy x family the overrated ones. There is no hope of second season.so i have nothing to say.there goes my heart 💔.

This is legit a decent series.whether about art style,storyline or character development this series excels in all. This has the same author as log Horizon umezu Daisuke.if you want strategic series,romance,war,conflict go for it without any delay.this series legit stole my heart from episode 1. This is the story of war between human and demon. All merits demerits are well explained here. I am in love with the heroine Mao-sama(Demon king). Her voice artists is literally on another level. Listen once and your wounded heart will cure in seconds.protagonist and the Female Knight voice artists are also top tier. And the younger sister maid is super cute.i have watched many anime series i guarantee you no one can come next to her interms of cuteness. Stole my heart there.and this is shame this series is not that much popular as log horizon.if anyone ask me which series you want to see continue,i would go for maoyu without blinking. This show literally made me fall in love with.they left us on the cliffhanger when it was going to good.the war Between human and demons,how would they settle it and bring peace i would have love to watch this series ending. But i dont see any hope for season 2 as it is not so much popular. Why guys only overrate the ones which are full of fights i guess most of are kids. It pains me seriously overrated show like one punch man,kaguya war is love are among the top tier and this masterpiece is underrated as hell. This is annoying.the author need a praise fr.

A heartwarming series full of romance,war,conflict,economy, actions. Dont expect any grand fight still this is one to be reckoned with. This had the ability to become the best in 2013 still i couldn't find any reason why it is so underrated and so low rating.who is that freak to low rate this stunning beauty. This series is based on the war between humans and demons and the aftermaths.the voice artist pour their soul in this series.my new waifu mao sama a kind gentle heart and a dotting partner. The little sister maid is so super cute.the voice artist literally deserve a award for the voice acting. Genuinely fell in love with this at first glance.its a shame there will be no season 2.
