At least five different cameras were used as the additional footage required was filmed throughout Georgia, Alabama and Florida. There may have been at least twelve different microphones used, including some lines which were literally phoned in, all in the attempt to complete the production.
The scenes on the Federation starship were originally filmed seven years ago.
Some of the pickup shots were completed at a green screen facility in South Georgia.
