This short film is about a young man who finds out a deeply hidden secret after his father's suicide.
"Jason's Dad" tells a touching story about a young man and his mother are both stricken with grief after his father's suicide. He embarks on a journey to search for answers, and uncovers that his father has a mistress. Even though he was brave enough to confront the mistress face to face, he was not prepared for what happened next.
In the short span of ten minutes or so, we are taken onto a roller-coaster ride, both in terms of plot and emotional states of characters. I felt empathic towards Jason much of the time, which was fascinating as there was little time for such a connection to develop. "Jason's Dad" is an emotional and touching short. It touched my heart and I think it can be expanded into a feature film.
