Derek Hough made the day of one of his young fans, courtesy of Make-a-Wish.

According to the foundation, the six-time “Dancing with the Stars” champ granted the wish of 16-year-old Reese, who has epilepsy, by inviting her to hit the dance floor as his partner after watching him perform live in his Las Vegas revue “Derek Hough: No Limit” at the Venetian Resort.

Reese’s appearance onstage with Hough came as a complete surprise, after she and Hough had posed for photos.

In addition to the dance, Reese and her family spent the weekend in one of the luxury suites at the Venetian, where they also enjoyed a gondola ride and enjoyed a pre-show dinner.

Bob Dylan’s massive Rolling Thunder Revue box set will feature over 100 previously unreleased live recordings taken from the first leg of the musician’s famed 1975 tour. The 14-disc set will be released June 7th via Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings.

Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour took place between 1975 and 1976 and found the musician playing theater shows with little advanced notice. The tour famously featured Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, while one-off special guests included Ringo Starr, Patti Smith and Joni Mitchell.

The Alliance, the new partnership formed by leading European pubcasters to counter the growing power of Netflix and other players, is revving up with two new international dramas, “Around the World in 80 Days” and “Mirage.”

The Alliance was formed last year by France Televisions, Germany’s Zdf and Italy’s Rai. The partners unveiled their two new ambitious shows Wednesday at Series Mania in Lille, France.

For France Televisions in particular, the series are part of a wider move into high-end international drama that also includes French series like “Germinal,” based on Emile Zola’s classic novel, and the adaptation of Guillaume Musso’s bestseller, “La jeune fille et la nuit,” both of which France Televisions is developing outside of the Alliance.

TF1 Studio has picked up Ludovic Colbeau-Justin’s “The Lion,” a high-concept action comedy starring Dany Boon (“Welcome to the Ch’tis”) and Philippe Katerine (“Sink or Swim”).

Set to start shooting next week, the movie follows Romain, a psychologist who is fascinated by his patient, Leo Milan, who claims to be a highly-trained international spy, code-named The Lion. When Romain’s fiancée is kidnapped, just as The Lion predicted, Romain realizes that Leo is the only one who seems to know what’s going on and the only one who has the skills to rescue her. Desperate, Romain embarks on a frantic chase across Paris with The Lion to rescue Louise and protect France’s central bank from the heist of the century.

Spotify announced last year that it will recognize the songwriters, producers and engineers behind some of today’s biggest hits with an annual awards program called Secret Genius, and today it announced the second annual nominees for the prizes.

The awards show, hosted by artist/producer Ne-Yo, will take place on Nov. 16 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

Constance Zimmer believes that bringing in a female suitor for season three of “UnReal” created a dynamic “that we haven’t seen before” between her character, the tough-as-nails producer Quinn, and her protege Rachel (Shiri Appleby). In its first two seasons this satirical behind-the-scenes look at a reality dating competition series featured bachelors searching for love among casts of eligible women. This year the sexes were flipped, with determined career woman Serena Wolcott (Caitlin FitzGerald) sifting through a variety of men. “It made both of them very aware of how much they take down women, even though that’s not their goal,” Zimmer explains. Cardi B will co-host The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday April 9th, The New York Times reports.

The event marks the first time The Tonight Show has ever fielded a co-host, though the late-night staple has a long history of tapping celebrities to fill in as guest hosts. Cardi B will reportedly appear throughout the program, help Fallon interview guests and perform a song.

Burgeoning audiovisual content platform Mediawan has acquired three French production companies including Storia Television, the new outfit created to take over the activities of EuropaCorp TV excluding its Us series.

The Paris-based company – founded by French producer Pierre-Antoine Capton, telecom tycoon Xavier Nils and investment banker and venture capitalist Mathieu Pigasse in 2015 – announced the deal on Monday afternoon (January 15).

The platform also revealed it was in exclusive negotiations to buy a majority stake in Makever, an umbrella group comprising six independent production studios.

Their shows include Kaboul Kitchen; the International Emmy Award-winning telefilm Don’t Leave Me, about a mother’s struggle to de-radicalise her jihadi bride daughter; and Captain Sharif.

The five-time Grammy winner and the rapper, 25, released their first collaboration together, titled “Finesse,” 30 minutes ahead of its midnight release on Thursday. Originally released on Mars’ 2016 album, 24K Magic, the song has a new jack-swing inspired beat and plenty of drums.

The Bronx-born singer (born Belcalis Almanzar) just became the third artist and first rapper in history to place her first three Billboard Hot 100 entries in the chart’s Top 10 simultaneously, joining only the Beatles and Ashanti in achieving the accomplishment.
