I usually give even the most awful shows at least one full episode before I make a judgment, but I couldn't even make it two minutes through this pile of garbage.
The lead character is annoying, the promos made sure to show every possible toilet humor based joke, and within two minutes- I can not stress this enough- TWO MINUTES, the jokes were so side-swipingly terrible that I had to change the channel to find something that could restore my sense of humanity.
This show makes Bucket & Skinner (which actually was kind of, sort of funny) look like a masterpiece of comedy. I urge everyone to ignore this show and hope it goes away.

Marvin Marvin is a zetta horrible show. Lucas Cruikshank is just some stupid son of a digit, and his show is a pile of garbage. CRUNCH! I'll add it to the heap of horrible Nick shows.
I gave the pilot a shot, it's just a stupid zero to me. I really put effort into not giving up, and my calculations were correct: it was not worth it. I recommend you do not waste your precious time, this show is out of it's vector. All of the jokes were cringe worthy, in a bad way, and I mean a BAD way. This is just Lucas's way of sneaking more of his garbage onto Nick after his Fred show was added to the heap, either that or Nick's way of milking out their favorite untalented actor.

It is not often that I say something is the absolute worst, because usually it would be seriously exaggerating, but with this show, I honestly think it could be the worst or at least equal with the worst show I have ever seen in my entire life. It is just as bad as Fred, except unlike that which started as a dumb internet show, this somehow managed to get approved for TV right off the bat. I can't imagine who would have thought it was a good idea. The idea isn't original, there is nothing funny about it, and the acting is below average as well. You can tell where it tries to be funny but fails horribly, the "jokes" actually made me cringe while watching it. The whole thing basically consists of Marvin displaying gross bodily functions and acting like an idiot, which is supposed to be explained bu him being an alien, but it gets old fast, within the first few minutes of the first episode it already makes you want to never watch it again. This show will make you fear for the future of humanity. Avoid it if at all possible.

Typically, with shows like this, I'll watch an episode to gage how good (or bad) it is. Yeah, I couldn't make it through an episode.. Hell, I couldn't even make it through five minutes before trying to run away from this poor excuse of a show. It is AWFUL. Absolutely AWFUL.
The actors should be ashamed to even affiliate themselves with this.
The episode that I just saw had to do with some Earth Day stuff and the main character (Marvin) was preparing for this before learning that his Uncle Steve was coming to visit. And who played his uncle? French Stewart. Yeah, the guy from 3rd Rock From the Sun. He must be DESPERATELY seeking work to affiliate himself with this "show". That, or/and he's blown all of his money savings and will do anything to get some money. That's the only reason I can think of for French Stewart to appear in a show like this. In all honesty, I feel sorry for him. I would hate to be him right now, as I'm sure most people would after seeing that episode because frankly, I wanted to gouge my eyes out. It was horrific and is honestly one of the worst TV shows I have ever seen in my 23 years of existence.
And I also feel sorry for Casey Sander, who plays Bernadette's father on the Big Bang Theory (one of my favorite shows). According to IMDb, he's been in a dozen episodes in this franchise and he must be in the same boat as French Stewart. I would rather be the janitor at Wal-Mart or at a Special Kids Camp than be a part of "Marvin, Marvin".
The kid who plays Marvin, Lucas Cruitylaodfjkdfashnk or whatever the f*** his name is, is a HORRIBLE actor. He just can't do it. And that's the worst part of the show. None of the people on the show can act. The aforementioned French Stewart and Casey Sander can (I've seen them in other stuff), so I know they're not the problem. The others are. The dude that plays Marvin must bring everyone down with him -- that, and the scripts are downright horrendous.
The only reason that this show would be even somewhat enjoyable to watch is that the mom is kinda hot. That's about it. Other than that, I don't know what redeeming qualities people see in this. Nickelodeon has gone downhill, BAD. When I was a kid, I had All That, Hey Arnold!, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, Rocket Power, Rugrats, Angry Beavers and many other great and enjoyable shows. But now, it appears that this network has just gone down the crapper and it has to do with shows like "Marvin, Marvin" and that Fred show, which Lucas Cruikshank also starred in apparently (didn't know that, but I assume it was horrible too).
If I could give this show a negative rating, I would. But unfortunately, I can't and that sucks. Do yourself a favor and go rent some of the worst movies of all-time like Gigli, Movie 43, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Bio-Dome, Catwoman, Jack and Jill, Superbabies, or Battlefield Earth because chances are, they're 100x better than this crap.

Why is Nickelodeon obsessed with this Lucas Cruikshank loser. Fred is not funny and this dude has no talent. The fact that this dweeb got 2 of his own shows on Nickelodeon is completely preposterous. What were they smoking at Nickelodeon to green-lit this piece of turd. Bad acting, jokes, characters, and story lines. The main character Marvin is annoying as hell.
Luckily both Fred:the show and Marvin Marvin were one season wonders. I'd like it if these two never aired in the first place. Come on Nickelodeon you can do better than this. Their programming in the last few years has been absolutely HORRIBLE!

...but this is just ridiculous. Yet another Nickelodeon sitcom that has nothing to show for itself, but that it's utter crap. This show makes Out of Jimmy's Head (which was awful) look like gold. I have nothing personal against Lucas Cruikshank, but the truth is if he's starring in something, odds are it's going to be terrible like the Fred series (although his cameo in iCarly (way better than this) was a little funny). The idea that an alien tries to adapt to life on earth idea has been used over and over (Sym-Bionic Titan, Invader Zim, American Dad which are all better than this pile of garbage). I can live with the idea, but that doesn't excuse how terrible the acting is. Like I said before nothing personal against Lucas Cruikshank, but the things he stars in are just awful. Now does he have potential? Maybe. Is he using that possible potential? No. Can he do better? Definitely. So Lucas, calm down, stop being all annoying and/or squeaky voiced, and actually use your talent that you (might) have and ditch this crap you've been working on for something better.

Only once in a lifetime will you find a show that will truly make you question everything you once thought to be true. I once thought that Breaking Bad was a good show, but now I have seen the true error in my ways. It pales as a low budget mediocre show in comparison to Marvin Marvin. However unfair the comparison may be, the point still stands. I am shocked and appauled to see such negative reviews to a gem such as Marvin Marvin, and I hope that amazing titles such as these are able to thrive in the future.

Honestly, it wasn't actually that bad. When I first watched the first episode I found it pretty funny and interesting. After that, I watched a few more and several episodes and finally came to a conclusion.
Firstly, the actor Lucas seems to be a great actor to me. I'm surprised on how he could still smile so innocently and childish-like. His playful behavior seems so enjoyable to look at. But sometimes, he can be kind of inconsiderate of others too.
The other actors weren't all that bad, either. Some of them acted really well, It made me enjoy the episode a lot overall.
I think that some people just don't like it because they focus more on the bad parts rather than the good. It's not that bad if you actually focus on some of the parts more carefully.
There were some parts that fascinated, frustrated and gave me a lot of feelings. Overall, it's not that bad.

Nickelodeon is doing more awful shows. What's wrong with them. This is a channel for kids, but what they're doing is putting so stupids shows. They think that comedy for children is silly. And this show is in the top of the list of the worst shows. The jokes are fools. I've seen few episodes, to know that this show is crap. The acting is terrible, the characters are fools and the plot is awful. We have an alien boy that joins to a normal family. This alien is so stupid and silly that he cant understand how is the human life. Also the "abilities" that he have because of being and alien are so stupid and kind of weird. So really, i could say that this is the worst show that Nickelodeon have created. Don't watch this show, is just awful

Marvin Marvin doesn't even deserve a rating from me at all.
It is so hard to really like this show. However you felt about any other shows on Nickelodeon before, Marvin Marvin makes them appear more well done and more like the people involved in the other shows were really putting effort into what they did, and I even believe that and can give those people kudos to that. But just the way Marvin Marvin is written, and the way they direct Lucas Cruikshank makes me believe otherwise.
Let me start off with this: I love Nickelodeon. I grew up with a lot of it. Not to state I'm a 90's kid but I loved Rugrats, CatDog, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron. I never saw the live action shows like Kenan & Kel and All That but for what they were when I did take a look, they were pretty good. The Amanda Show was alright too. I liked any of the movies that was made from that network. I grew up more with live action shows like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, True Jackson VP and a bit of Big Time Rush. How to Rock got better for me and Bucket & Skinner was enjoyable as well and Ashley Argota, I believe, had an even better role than she had as a side character on TJVP. I can enjoy most things. And for some shows that may be criticized, I can look deep into the shows and really look at the characters and see either how much better they get as "people" over time, or can see more to the characters and thankfully good things about them that make me keep watching. There maybe really subtle messages in a show I'll find that I really like. For comedies, I like actually looking at a comedy and I don't always like when they have a message that's literally in your face like a PSA. I'll understand why something is funny and I can laugh to that. But here in Marvin Marvin, it's hard to look deep into the characters and find good things about them or find any positive messages without Lucas being on the screen for a majority of the half hour.
The only way anybody can watch the show again after one episode is if they could pretend the show is not about Marvin and instead it was about, say, the family, or even Marvin's supposed-to-be sister. I saw a little bit of the pilot episode and although I do hate that at one point they build up her ambition of being journalist so she can meet Rob Pattinson because he's in Twilight, I do think they at least made her out to be like how many teenage girls are in this day and age. In fact, in the episode I did watch all the way, the family scenes were more decent when Lucas wasn't on the screen. So for me, the real problem with this show is just Lucas. I don't know why Lucas keeps taking such obnoxious roles. Like, really, what was he thinking? The other problem is how Marvin is written. Stupid doesn't always mean funny. There's a limit to how much you can get away with making something stupid funny. Would it have been insulting to make Marvin sound really intelligent and even ahead of our time that the people around him just see him as a nerd?
I'm sure Lucas is a nice guy in real life but he can do so much better than this and we deserve better shows than this. This might very well be the Garbage Pail Kids of television and I hope all the other actors can get a chance to shine in something else because chances are Marvin Marvin is not going to be that show that allows them to do so.
I'm not going to tell anyone what they should watch instead of this show like all the other people, just find something else to watch if you can't take this. And if you can manage to like this show, more power to you. But Marvin Marvin is to me the one show that shows that no other show on Nickelodeon was as bad as people thought.

OK, this is awful. It was cancelled after 14 shows because it's that bad. It consists of flat jokes and canned laughter. If you're looking for a good kids show stick to Adventure Time kids. The casting is awful as it features cheap actors that will never make it. The jokes are cringe worth and not forgetting the main character, Marvin. Marvin is a awful actors but he's best known as Fred from youtube who is now the worlds biggest sellout. He is so annoying and there's no reason at all to laugh at this show. If nickelodeon took a dump while eating cat food... It would be this show. Although Nickelodeon is strugglig to make quality shows this was the all time low. They need to put more time in to their ideas. STAY AWAY KIDS.

When I first saw the ads on Nickelodeon, I figured that this show would be garbage. But, I didn't think it would be this bad. Everything about this show is awful in so many ways. Let's start with the acting - beyond awful. Lucas Cruikshank was incredibly annoying as Marvin. Actually, calling him annoying is like calling Bin Laden a jerk - it's true, but it's not enough to call them that. Every one else in the show is bad. All the children actors are bad but are not as annoying as Marvin. Also, the adults overact as well. They act like everything is the most serious thing ever. Also, the plot of the series is something we've probably seen numerous times before. In fact, this kind of sounds like it could be a drama on ABC family. For that to happen, get rid of all the actors, get better writers, lose all the bad comedy, get good actors, have a back story and make the characters at least a little likable. While I was watching this, all I was thinking was "We're they reading this script?" Probably not. I mean if the adults were doing this for their kids or something, that's fine. Kids will probably enjoy this, but do know what these kids are into these days? I can only think of two positives about this: 1. it does teach that nobody should be judged for anything - but that could work if it wasn't so annoying and it probably focused on a real issue. Can't Nickelodeon do a show about a family raising a gay son or lesbian daughter? Or be raised by two moms or two dads? It's real, it's current and it would be interesting and give credibility to Nickelodeon. But no, Nickelodeon has to give this show to Fred just to keep him relevant. The other positive is that with this new show for Lucas Cruikshank, Fred: The Show is canceled. Then again after watching this, it made me want to watch Fred videos willingly and I would never do that - EVER! If you thought Nickeloden was dead before, they are officially dead now.

Oh my god, this show is one of the most embarrassing blemishes on Nickelodeon, right next to Breadwinners, Fred the Show and the Thundermans! The fact that it even got past pitching is beyond me!
First of all, the plot. It's about an alien who lands on earth to live with a human family? Sound familiar? Oh yeah, it basically rips off Mork and Mindy, but updated it for teens in the 21st century.
Second of all, guess who they chose to play Marvin, of all people? They chose Lucas Cruikshank, the same person who gave the world that shrieking monstrosity Fred Figglehorn! At least he isn't running around screaming his head off like a deranged toddler.
Honestly, why is it that Nickelodeon went and axed all its good quality shows like Rugrats, Victorious, Wild Thornberrys and Avatar: The Last Airbender, and commissioned s**t like this. The characters in this monstrosity of a show have about as much depth as a toddler's paddling pool, the humour is just intended to make you sick and the message of being yourself gets undermined by the lame attempts at jokes.
Honestly, I think the world didn't feel like it lost much when Marvin Marvin was cancelled and Lucas left Nickelodeon. To quote the immortal words of Star Trek, "Beam me up, Scotty and take me away from this train wreck!"

Okay, so this show had a creative premise going for it. Sure, the formula has been done in shows like Mork & Mindy, ALF, and My Favorite Martian, but this was during a time when all of the Nick sitcoms were literally about some kid becoming famous or training to become famous (iCarly - Girl that's famous on the Web; Victorious - Girl that's training to become famous), so this was a breath of fresh air for Nick. But they had to ruin it with one thing: FRED as the title character. Yeah, Lucas (or Fred) figured he raped our ears enough, so he moved on to other acting jobs. But man, is he annoying in this one! His annoying voice is what killed it for me. And now, since it's canceled, Lucas is a nobody again.
Overall, this show is bad, but it's not as bad as AwesomenessTV or Henry Danger. It at least tries to make jokes, but the jokes come off as bad, like butt humor. Hey! At least they're trying. At least they're going for a kind of humor! Even if it is disgusting humor like butt jokes.

One day, the producers, writers, and everyone else that helped cover up Dan Schneider's sex crimes against children at Nickelodeon HQ gathered around to wonder "What if we tried Fred again, but made him an alien this time?" What happened was a short-lived comedy show with terrible comedy, annoying characters, and the annoying hyper-expressive over-acting that's become par for the course with Nickelodeon and Disney channel shows these days.
This show isn't funny when I first saw it I thought it was fine because lucas (creator of fred channel) was on it but after seeing it again it's not funny nothing about it is good! Don't watch it! Watch Invader Zim it's the best nick show with an alien in it. (back when nick was good) watch it on hulu
