Another entry and the last one. And it begins with a casino scene. So very slow and maybe even boring for some I reckon. But if you get through it, there are some really strong action scenes. The blackjack is quite interesting and well edited.
There could have been more and there was promise at the very beginning ... a promise of much more. Or maybe it was just my epxectations I guess. That aside, this is well made and the animation is good. Like the second one, this has a 15 rating and while less nudity and violence than the first one, still is aimed at a mature audience. Always talking about the Directors Cut of course - did not watch the other one.

Of the three movies in this Mordock Combustion series, I find this one the most watchable. I only had to watch this movie once to understand what was going on. It was entertaining, but I still have not figured out what the resolution of all of the story lines at the end. I thought that this might be due to poor translation, so I watched the movie in the original Japanese with subtitles and found no help there.
What I found enjoyable was the music of this production. I am partial to "Amazing Grace," but the end theme over credits, "Tsubasa," was captivating. The singer starts out over light music that builds through the song, so she has to have a good voice to pull that off, especially at the beginning of the song. After listening to the theme song, several times, I did research and found that the voice actor, Megumi Hayashibara, was the vocalist. She also was one of the duet that sang "Amazing Grace." Also, the end credit theme song, "Tsubasa" made it to the Tower Records top 10 chart at Crunchy Roll, three years to this month that this review is being written. Because of the music of this movie, this is something that will make it into my collection of movies that I will be viewing over and over again.
