"The Beast" as it's called in English, is a stylishly filmed tale about a soldier who discovers that his innocent sister has been kidnapped by sex traffickers. The girl has ended up on a web cam sex site, and it becomes her brother's mission to find her, before it is too late. This theme has been dealt with many times before, and in a more effective way, so "Beast" won't earn any points for originality. And despite the subject matter, there is actually no sex or nudity in this movie. Still, it is a very decent, and entertaining thriller, with some impressive fight scenes. The photography has a certain cold, grey look, which somehow suits the story. The buildings, the clothing, the hairstyles, are all very modern and industrial, and the main actor is very extreme-looking, with nice, angular features and icy, emotionless eyes. This is not art, but it's better than most action films coming out of Hollywood these days..worth a watch.
This movie was made in 2011. It appears to be low budget, filled with a bit of poor acting. The fight scenes are awful! However the concept of the movie is amazing. As always movies with GREAT concepts usually fail with poor acting, low budget scenery plus a bit of failures on the part of the director. It was worth watching until the end. I give every movie a fair chances to redeem themselves by watching fully to the end.

Bo-ra and her brother, Tae-hun, lose their grandmother they have been living with since their parents' death. But soon after he gets shocking news that Bo-ra has been kidnapped. The kidnappers plan to use Bo-ra in an online porno and threaten to post it on the web by 10 pm on the following day. Tae-hun embarks on an urgent mission to find his sister and get her back from the kidnappers. Sounds fun... but its the worst korean movie I ever watch in my life. Maybe you think this movie is awesome as The Man From Nowhere because they have a same plot, but its so bad. Why? Their whole story are cliché, many unnecessary action, pointless dialogue, bad acting and many more. Don't watch this garbage, I insist.
