This episode is absolutely astounding in terms of character development, storytelling, and action. Not to mention the plot moves forward while being entertaining. Lets talk about how fantastic this episode actually is. Mayday is a fantastic clone whose ideology has been warped due to his extended stay on the outpost. At any point in time the Lieutenant could've given Mayday a new pair of armor but didn't simply because he was a piece of hardware to be discarded. "Dead weight" as Crosshair would call it at the beginning of the episode, only to have a change of heart because of one clones compassion. Mayday is selfish like Crosshair "Brave not foolish" during the mine scene is something that the two clones share. They are nearly identical except in the case of their morals: "missions are missions". Of course this changes, Crosshair doesn't bring the crates back and instead hauls Mayday all the way back where he finally succumbs to his injuries. He finally realized what the Bad Batch did during order 66, they are just numbers and equipment.
"We were good soldiers, we followed orders, and for what?"
