Three amateur racing teams are working hard on their vehicles for a 24 hour automobile race. The unique part is that the vehicles have to cost less than $500. It's an opportunity not normally afforded to mere mortals. Normally, multi-million dollar teams compete in big televised event tours. This is really a race for gearheads and hobby racers. There is a purity to it and comradery amongst the competitors. It looks like a fun time. Someday, somebody will make a reality TV show out of this. If they are showing robotic teams in a battle dome, they will make a show out of this race. They just have to nail down the $500 aspect.
