Trivia
Scott Adkins was rehabilitating his knee from an injury and taking a break from making action films, hence the lack of big stunts and fights on his part (which was not what the project was about anyway).

Goofs
Harker's opening narration ran: "Biologists will tell you that every living creature on the planet has been discovered, that there's no room for surprises--if you don't count bugs, that is."

In fact, many new non-insect species are discovered every year. In just the year 2016, over 18,000 total new species were discovered. In the first decade of the 21st century, over 300 mammals alone were discovered, including monkeys in Tanzania and Burma and a leopard in Indonesia. Biologists fight to end deforestation and global warming because they know how much potential there is for further great new discoveries like these.

An Entertaining Adventure for Adkins and Non-Adkins Fans Alike

Exciting, adrenaline-pumping action adventure flick that can be enjoyed by all age groups. The production values, CGI, and VFX are quite spectacular for a low-budget, independent, B-movie like this. It's also a detour of sorts from Scott and Dolph's regular, hardcore, combat styled action films, but boy, what a welcome surprise it is! Both the action stars bring their dynamic personalities to the fore even without their staple fight scenes and the rest of the cast is also pleasing to the eye.

Director Eric Styles does a great job in crafting a thoroughly engaging action adventure film that not only keeps you glued to your seat in excitement, but also has great repeat value for lazy afternoons or cozy evening dates.
