- Quotes
Sam: [first day on the job] Hi.
Daisy: Hi! Name?
Sam: Sam, Alexander.
Daisy: Do you have an appointment?
Sam: Yes.
Daisy: With whom?
Sam: Doctor Cassus.
Daisy: [types that in on her keyboard] Can I see your confirmation?
Sam: Ah. Yeah.
[takes out his pin, holds it high]
Daisy: [nods, but then...] Guh! Uhm, I don't see it on my system.
[out of his eyesight, reaches for shotgun under her desk]
Sam: I'm new.
[shakes his head]
Daisy: Uh...
Sam: Is, uh... Is something wrong?
[her finger curls around the trigger]
Liam: [enters] Oh, hey, Sam. There you are!
[smiles at Daisy]
Liam: He's with me. First day.
[Daisy lets go of the gun]
Liam: Welcome.
[shakes Sam's hand]
Daisy: [big smile] Well, then, welcome to the Collective.
Liam: We'll make him a file later, but go ahead and activate his pin.
[to Sam:]
Liam: Sorry, I didn't get you into the system yet. You scared her.
Sam: All good.
[Daisy just smiles]
Liam: [to Sam:] You're lucky you got your legs.
At the halfway mark, I felt like I spent half a day binging a boring TV series. Then you have director Tom DeNucci manage to make the very few action scenes boring and cringeworthy, and he clearly failed to direct his cast properly, especially Tyrese Gibson, who looked and sounded bored and like he was falling asleep. To call this nonsense a B-film is an insult to B-films. Whoever funded this mess clearly needed a tax write-off. Don't get drawn in by the few well-known cast, them being in this does zero to elevate this film, and I'm sure they're regretting it, no matter how big their paycheck was. It's a generous 3/10 all going to Don Johnson and Ben-Victor, the only two actors that held their own even with the terrible writing and directing they had to work with.
