Live review
This is a perfect example of how hat I reviewed a couple episodes ago. When deacon was running and gunning to get the murderer, the entire cast was lazy in support and the plot and script did not help
This round in this episode is more on par for the show. Like typical Hondo is insubordinate to superiors, lashes out in public (and specially in episode 6), takes petty piss matches with people in the show. Has the 80's cop stigma if publicqlly hunting people down he thinks as criminals that everyone doesn't see. And has to go outside the system to get justice. And zero repercussions of unprofessional behavior. Yet, in many episodes, he lectures fellow team members in the same things that he does over and over. And if there is a hole in the entire plot the show writes the plot to justify his arrogance. His role feels like it was written by The Rocks lawyers.
In this episode he gets into a petty piss match with a prior swat leader. Yea, the guy was not great...but the acting and script felt like kardashian drama and less like 2 cops arguing.
And why do the female cops have to be highlighted with extravagant drama that has to be solved. I wish their characters were better developed. All the guys have little no character arch except street. He actually has been the best developed character in the show.
And sadly, this episode had all drama and the only way the crime was solved was because the murderer literally drove into a cop at the scene of the crime. Lame.
