A DEA agent and widower father moves himself and his young daughter to a small town after being put into witness protection following a large drug bust. Things are going well until his daughter uses the skills her father taught her to defend herself from a bully. The bully's parents begin to hold a grudge against the father, and things get worse when the bully's mother asks her brother, a local drug lord, to deal with him.
Surprisingly, yes. Unlike most of Jason Statham's vehicle films, this one is based on a book called "Homefront" by author Chuck Logan. The book is the last in a series, and it was adapted into a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, and that became this film and video game.
