The Legend of Vox Machina, based on the Dungeons & Dragons campaign put on by the thespians at Critical Role, will drop its third season next month, and excitement is high. The show has proved a fun, bloody romp that does indeed feel a little like getting together with your buddies and pretending to be elves and dwarves and archers and whatnot. It goes down easy.
On a more serious note, the third season will feature one of the final performances from actor Lance Reddick, famous for his roles in the John Wick movies and on The Wire. Reddick also voiced Thordak the Cinder King, the leader of the tyrannical band of dragons known as the Chroma Conclave. Reddick died of heart disease in March of 2023, and fans were unsure if he was in Vox Machina season 3. However, he showed up in the trailer, so now we know that he'll get...

Actor Lance Reddick, who appeared in major TV series like ‘The Wire’, ‘Fringe’ and ‘Bosch’ and films like the ‘John Wick’ franchise, which is set to debut ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ next week, died of natural causes aged 60.

Steve Bing, a Hollywood producer, writer and financier who famously invested in the Tom Hanks movie “The Polar Express,” has died by suicide. He was 55.

An individual at 10000 Santa Monica Boulevard confirmed to TheWrap that Bing had jumped from the tower.
The LAPD and L.A. County Coroner’s Office would not confirm the identification of the deceased or the cause of death. An individual who knew Bing said he had been depressed and acting bizarrely of late.

• Hopefully Rooney Mara (Side Effects) and Martin Sheen (The Departed) will get a chance to trade Terrence Malick stories when they begin filming Trash in Rio De Janeiro next month. The two actors have signed on to star in the adaptation of Andy Mulligan’s 2010 young adult novel about three homeless boys living in an intentionally ambiguous “third world” country in the near future who discover something in a trash heap worth protecting. Mara will play an Ngo worker and Sheen is set for the part of Father Julliard. Rickson Teves, Eduardo Luis, and Gabriel Weinstein will make their film debuts as the three boys.

More genre fare from Monsieur Lance Reddick that should make many of you happy! As announced back in March, Reddick formed a production company called Christai Productions, along with his manager Steven Adams, with the goal being to develop story-driven film and television projects with juicy lead characters that will attract talent, and are a little "outside the box" but with "a sharp eye to genre and budget." We featured the dark, futuristic web series DR0NE (which he starred in and co-produced under the Christai banner), earlier this year; and, coming up is a thriller titled St. Sebastian, which stars Reddick,...

There was a time, back around 1996, when it appeared that Danny DeVito had permanently transitioned to the director.s chair. But after 2003.s Duplex, he stopped. We.re not sure why . yet we are excited that he seems to be edging back towards it. DeVito is in post-production on the thriller St. Sebastian, with William Fichtner and Lance Reddick. The film.s due out in 2013. Because there's never enough Danny DeVito in the news, Twentieth Century Fox recently released two of DeVito's films, 1989's "War of the Roses" and 1992's "Hoffa," on Blu-ray. The discs are part of the Fox Home Entertainment "Signature Series," which feature a new video introduction from DeVito and both picture and sound quality that come literally stamped with his approval. (A copy of DeVito's signature is emblazoned on the packaging.)
To celebrate the release, HuffPost Entertainment spoke with DeVito about … well, almost everything. Ahead, DeVito's thoughts on digital filmmaking, his next venture as a director, the fiscal failure of the underrated "Death to Smoochy" and why you should always bring cash to the French Riviera.
What made you want to revisit these films?
When the laser disc came out, I did the same thing: I had this rush about wanting to be on the best delivery system available. I know...

When animation directors are on the search to find the perfect actor to perform voice-over duties, the diminutive Danny DeVito must undoubtedly crop up as the perfect fit for many.
Having lent his talents to a number of animated features in the past, he’s back once again playing the titular figure in the adaptation of the famed Dr. Seuss book The Lorax. Chronicling the plight of the environment and its defender, the Lorax (who speaks for the trees against the greedy Once-ler) the film was a roaring success at the Us box office earlier this year.
Currently winning plaudits for his role in the West End production of The Sunshine Boys at the Savoy Theatre in London, DeVito dropped by the London Comic Con McM Expo recently to publicise the film (which is released in UK cinemas on the 27th July) and HeyUGuys were there to attend a round table with the star.

The Complex examines Danny’s potential for success as purveyor of thrills and chills.
There was a time in the early ’90s that it looked like Danny DeVito was really about to sprout his directorial wings and fly. He’d made two pretty successful comedies in Throw Momma from the Train and War of the Roses before moving directing David Mamet’s epic screenplay for Hoffa.
Interesting film, Hoffa. I was more or less a kid in ’92 when that film came out, and I think I took it in at the theater three times. There was a resurgence of mob-leaning movies in those days after the revelation of GoodFellas, and whatever it was that The Godfather: Part III turned out to be. I loved all that stuff so I absorbed as much of it as I could.
Hoffa looked and felt like a great film, but twenty years later, I...

After directing "War of the Roses," "Hoffa," "Matilda," "Death to Smoochy" and "Duplex," Danny DeVito took a decade from helming. But he has now returned behind the camera for an apocalyptic thriller, called "St. Sebastian," which is now in post-production. "I was truly excited about getting behind the camera on this one," said DeVito. "It is my first foray into the thriller genre and I've enjoyed the challenge of making an 89 minute edge-of-your-seater..." The film revolves around a wounded cop, a wounded murderer and a sultry nurse. The three are thrust together, as war rages outside the only possible safe house, an abandoned City Hospital. With no doctors and only a few poor decrepit souls as witnesses, it becomes a rats' maze as the antagonistic trio get separated, and we find out the real reason they are there. "St. Sebastian" stars William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, Black Hawk Down), Lance Reddick ("The Wire,...
