NCIS has been a staple of the CBS lineup since 2003. Over the years, fans of the procedural drama have seen beloved characters come and go, including Michael Weatherly’s Tony Dinozzo, Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David, and Pauley Perrette’s Abby Sciuto. The show has also welcomed dozens of guest stars over the course of its 21 seasons, including these 10 notable appearances. How many of them do you remember?

Do you thrive on taking copious notes, observing minute details, and working closely on set with a director? Yes? Then you might want to consider a career as a script supervisor—the person who makes sure that the visual details in a scene are consistent from shot-to-shot and even scene-to-scene.
And you might want to consider these insights from expert script supervisor, Sarah Horton, whose credits over a 12-year career include Mutt & Stuff, Aftermath, Behaving Badly, and Liza On Demand. Continuity and consistency are crucial for the development of your project. Your movie simply has to make sense. Script supervising—and filmmaking in general—is all about helping to answer these questions: “How are you getting into a scene?” and “How are you getting out of a scene?” And, most importantly: “How are your scenes blending together to make a beautiful piece of art?”

Nat Wolff has been really famous a couple of times. The first was in 2007, when his show The Naked Brothers Band (based on his real-life musical group) became Nickelodeon’s most popular kids’ series — that was the kind of fame that got him bullied at his New York City middle school. Then, in 2015, he led Paper Towns, the big-screen adaptation of John Green’s blockbuster YA novel — that was the screaming-teen-girls-following-you-on-a-global-press-tour variety.
Now he’s preparing for the release of a series that features his first starring TV role — and a run alongside Parker Posey and Hari Nef in an off-Broadway adaptation of The Seagull/Woodstock, NY — and feeling further from those days than ever. “A couple of girls followed me home from rehearsals the other day, and it made me realize I barely think about being a child star,” says the 28-year-old over late-morning shrimp tacos in Times Square.

Paapa Essiedu, a breakout star of BBC/HBO series I May Destroy You, is to headline a Sky action thriller that uses a similar narrative device to Groundhog Day and is written by Joe Barton, the newly-unveiled showrunner on HBO Max’s The Batman.
Eight-part Extinction follows the story of George (Essiedu), who begins to re-live time after witnessing the world end. He is recruited into an organization that harnesses this power to prevent global catastrophes, but goes rogue in a bid to save the woman he loves. It’s billed as a gripping exploration of memory, fate, and the limits of love.
Produced by War Of The Worlds maker Urban Myth Films, the series also features Tom Burke (Strike), Anjli Mohindra (Bodyguard), and Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly). Marco Kreuzpaintner, the director of Amazon’s Beat, is attached to direct.

Rough Night, a raunchy, “wild night” effort that is perhaps something like the Bad Moms for The Hangover fans, gives us a very different arena for Scarlett Johansson. The rest of the cast, who are hilarious, are playing closer to their comfort zone than Johansson, who we’ve grown accustomed to watching beating the hell out of someone.
That makes this a somewhat more important venture than might be assumed because it could easily become a film that shows her versatility, or highlights the fact that she can only stray so far from the kinds of films that have put her on top of the box office money list.
If we can believe the trailer is an accurate look at things, she seems to hold her own, and while this could ultimately be a bit of trainwreck that isn’t as funny as it thinks it is, at this point,...

Hollywood is filled with movies honoring working people and labor unions. I like labor unions but not everyone does – and well, labor unions (or union leaders) haven’t always been perfect. On Labor Day, we ran a pro-labor list but to reflect that other viewpoint, this edition of Throwback Thursday focuses on a Labor Behaving Badly list – films about bad or crooked union bosses, strikes gone wrong, workers behaving badly, and even a few anti-union films.
On The Waterfront (1954)
This excellent drama from director Elia Kazan is the gold standard of this kind of film, with a corrupt union boss (Lee J. Cobb) who have become a virtual dictator, treating the union like his own little army to do his bidding. One man, Terry Malone (Marlon Brando), stands up to him and breaks the power of the boss. Bad behavior indeed, and one heck of a good movie.

E! News is reporting that The Flash has cast Ashley Rickards as Rosalind "Rosa" Dillion a.k.a. The Top and she'll make her debut as the extremely dangerous DC Comics villain in the fourth episode of the upcoming third season. Rickards' iteration will be a new take on The Top, a male character in the comics, but she'll retain the same metahuman abilities, which are to make people's heads spin. Her version will also likely share a fairly intimate relationship with Grey Damon's Mirror Master as she's being teased as the Bonnie to his Clyde. Rickards is best known for her lead role as Jenna Hamilton on MTV's comedy drama series Awkward and has also guest-starred on episodes of Zoey 101, Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Entourage, and American Horror Story: Murder House. Her film credits include Fly Away, Sassy Pants, A Haunted House 2, and Behaving Badly.

One of the most indelible images from the Death Note anime series (and the manga it’s based on) is the haunting appearance of the Shinigami Ryuk, a death god visible to Light Turner, the high school student in possession of a notebook with the power to kill. With filming now underway on Adam Wingard’s live-action Death Note movie, the voice of Ryuk has been revealed.
Mashable reports that Willem Dafoe will voice Ryuk in the live-action Death Note film. An official image of Ryuk’s appearance in the new movie has yet to be revealed (the image above is from the 2006–2007 anime adaptation), but it’s likely that we’ll see a CG creation of the curious death god with an appetite for apples.

2016-07-15T10:34:18-07:00Hbo's 'Vice Principals': School Administrators Behaving Badly
HBO's Vice Principals is not a comedy for the current climate of political correctness in America. Actually, Vice Principals is the opposite: a foul-mouthed, foul-tempered satire that pulls no punches in its quest to poke fun at its juvenile-humored characters. That no-holds-barred attitude is proving to be a bit too much for some critics, even as they admit that the series is, at least occasionally, very funny.
Vice Principals is the creation of Danny McBride and Jody Hill, the team behind the similarly raunchy Eastbound and Down, which ran on HBO for four seasons between 2009 and 2013. In Vice Principals, McBride plays Neal Gamby, the vice principal of a South Carolina high school who wants the recently vacated job as principal. He faces competition from Lee Russell (played by Walton Goggins), an equally uncouth adminstrator...

The notebook with grave consequences is back, as filming is officially underway on Adam Wingard's Death Note movie.
Based on Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's popular manga (which was previously adapted as an anime series and several live-action movies), the new Death Note film stars Nat Wolff as the main character who discovers that if he writes someone's name in his newfound notebook while imagining what they look like, they will die. This otherworldly power allows Wolff's character to play God, and it's up to the mysterious "L" (Keith Stanfield) to put a stop to the bodies hitting the floor.
Death Note is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2017. Below, we have the official press release with full details, including Wingard's (The Woods, You're Next) thoughts on the project:

Here's one of those 'This'll make you feel old' factoids - it's two years since the last ever episode of Skins aired.
E4's groundbreaking hormone-fest wrapped up on August 5, 2013 - with an older Cook (Jack O'Connell) heading off into an uncertain future at the close of 'Rise (Part Two)'.
Cook was but one of 27 major characters featured on Skins across three 'Generations' - in a total of 61 episodes, split into seven series. But where are the teen tearaways of Roundview College now?
Generation One
1. Nicholas Hoult
Hoult played Tony Stonem - the pre-eminent bad boy of Skins - across its first two series. Later badly hurt in a traffic accident and forced to rely on others, Tony had mellowed by his final episodes.
Now aged 25, Hoult has become a bona-fide Hollywood star with roles in this year's Mad Max: Fury Road and the much-anticipated book adaptations Dark Places and Kill Your Friends.

Behaving badly
Not so many years ago – thanks partly to censors and partly to nervous investors – it was hard to find any kind of non-heterosexual content in mainstream cinemas. Now there’s a fair bit of choice for gay men - we’re even starting to see films about men who’re not conventionally good looking – but when it comes to lesbians and bisexual women, the industry lags far behind. Desiree Akhavan’s Appropriate Behaviour is a breath of fresh air. It has proven its ability to impress mainstream audiences and it has heralded the arrival of a major new screenwriting and directing talent. But the thing that struck me first – and I mention this to its creator with slight trepidation – is that it’s funny.
She laughs. Recent ventures in lesbian filmmaking haven’t exactly been noted for their humour, though some have tried. “I just made something that I knew would.

Netflix streaming is upping the ante this December, adding enough high-profile TV shows and movies to more than make up for last month's lackluster offerings.
On the movie side, highlights include Will Ferrell and gang in "Anchorman 2," the Heath Ledger-starring "A Knight's Tale," Cameron Crowe classic "Almost Famous," Oscar-winning "American Beauty," and horror hits "Oculus" and "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones." Oh, and let's not forget '80s classic "Troop Beverly Hills," '90s cult favorite "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion," or Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street."
And there's plenty to love about what's coming on the TV front: "American Horror Story: Coven" finally gets its day on Netflix, "Sharknado 2" storms its way to streaming, and Brit hit "Broadchurch" finally lands stateside. Oh, and December sees the premiere of the hotly anticipated Netflix Original series "Marco Polo" on the 12th.
