Of late, there have been some extensive debates, conversations (and unfortunately) arguments too over the whole insider v/s outsider phenomenon. While this could well be true for any industry, it gets noticed the most in Bollywood due to the glamour quotient involved with it. There are some insiders who are successful but then there are also outsiders, who have made Bollywood their home.
Three such major stars who have been successful in making that happen for them are Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.
Shah Rukh Khan’s story is what legends are made of, Akshay Kumar has been an epitome of hard work while John Abraham has been all about making his choices count. While Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar’s story goes three decades back in time, even John Abraham has been consistency personified, what with an initial struggle that goes more than two decades back.

She does not not call it a come back but we cinema enthusiasts probably will continue to mark Jazbaa as a comeback of sorts as it is the return of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the silver screen after a five year hiatus. (Yes we know she’s been busy brand-ambassador-ing her way to glory in this hiatus period but we still did not get a movie!)
So apart from stunning us in various elegant gowns at Cannes 2015 and performing her Loreal brand ambassador duties, Aishwarya’s attendance at the festival had more to it. She also unveiled the Jazbaa first look. Unless you have been living under a rock you’re probably already aware that Jazbaa is a Sanjay Gupta (Kaante) directorial which also stars Irrfan Khan, Jackie Shroff and Atul Kulkarni in title roles. There is some buzz that Shabana Azmi is also part of the project and that...

While Kangana and PeeCee were the highlight of the night, some top celebrities were also spotted in their best attire, which is something you just can't afford to miss! Take a look...

Dum Laga Ke Haisha is the latest offering from Yash Raj Films starring Ayushmann Khurrana (Vicky Donor) and debutante Bhumi Pednekar. It also marks Sharat Katariya (of Bheja Fry fame) changing gears from writer to director.
It film features music by Anu Malik (Main Hoon Na), composing after almost two years, his last being Shootout at Wadala. Lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover while vocal talents featured consist of Monali Thakur (‘Sawar Loon’ – Lootera), Papon (‘Tu’ – Bobby Jasoos) and Kumar Sanu (no introduction needed).
The album gets off to a stunner of a start with Moh Moh Ke Dhaage by Papon. The track is very reminiscent of Anu Malik’s more nuanced work in Asoka and Refugee. The orchestration is beautiful as is the haunting melody. Couple with equally beautiful lyrics and a flawless rendition from Papon, the track is any easy winner. ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ is repeated...

Sanjay Gupta, who was last seen donning the directorial hat for the 2013 film Shootout at Wadala recently, commenced work on his next venture Jazbaa. The film marks the return of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the big screen after motherhood. While the shoot of the film has been gaining momentum, producer-director Sanjay Gupta seems to be in a spot. In fact known film producer Vinod Bachchan issued a legal notice to Sanjay Gupta demanding a sum of Rs. 50 lakhs that was apparently given as remuneration to Gupta for a previous venture that failed to take off. However, on the other hand, Sanjay Gupta has filed a case against Vinod for extortion and harassment. In his case Gupta accuses Vinod Bachchan of sending him a 'fake' legal notice demanding a refund of Rs. 50 lakhs which was his compensation for a film that did not take off. Apart from this Sanjay Gupta has...

Though doing off beat films are his forte, Manoj Bajpayee is equally active when it comes to commercial cinema and he will be soon seen in the masala entertainer Tevar. But what comes as a surprise is that this actor now will be sharing screen space with none other than the former beauty queen and now yummy mummy Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa.
However, just like his other films with Sanjay Gupta including the recent Shootout At Wadala, Manoj will reprise the role of a gangster. However, from what we hear, though he will not be playing the lead, he will be playing an important part in the film. The character that the actor is playing will also have many scenes with other members of the cast and is crucial to the story. Siddhanth Kapoor caught a lot of eyeballs with his performance in his debut film Shootout at Wadala. It has now come to light that this young talented actor will be essaying the role of a mysterious "Biker" in Pia Sukanya's debut film Bombairiya. While it was recently revealed that Bombairiya would feature Richa Chadda and Akshay Oberoi in leading roles, the makers have recently revealed that Siddhanth will be essaying the third leading role in the film which is an affectionate ode to the city of Bombay. The film which is set to roll in early December has been in the news for its fresh casting and it must be said that the addition of Siddhanth to what the makers are calling new age and relevant casting is only increasing the interest in this pacy comic caper. Siddhanth admitted that he had to go through rounds of auditions to get the role and added,...

Just when one was settling down to the fact that the makers of John Abraham's Welcome Back are planning to bring the film on January 23, next year (and hence clashing with either Baby or Gabbar - as one of the two would certainly move ahead), there is more. His Rocky Handsome has now been finalized for February 6, hence resulting in as many as two John Abraham starrers in a matter of a fortnight. "That's right, the film is confirmed for February 6," confirms our source, "It has been making brisk progress ever since it went on floors in June this year. John Abraham and director Nishikanth Kamat are enjoying every day of shooting while reminiscing the good time they had together when they worked on Force. Just like Force, even Rocky Handsome is an out and out action affair." In that prospect, it belongs to an altogether different genre when...

It's been reported that Anil Kapoor has gone "missing" while shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do.
The reason why Anil has done a Mr India is because he'll be sporting an entirely grey-haired look for the first time in his career.
Says a source close to the project, "Anil has so far been playing guys far younger than his real age. When he was 30, he was playing 20-year old characters. Now when he is 57 he plays 40-45-year old characters because that's how young he looks. For her film, Zoya insisted he should look like Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh's father. She wanted him to sport a completely grey-haired look."
For a very long time Anil Kapoor was in two minds about doing the role.

Bejoy Nambiar and Ekta Kapoor, the makers of the forthcoming Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi have roped in Anu Malik to render the vocals for the film’s first track, Tarzan, which releases next week.

In fact, in a coup of sorts, Anu is also expected to be seen in a small but hilarious cameo in the video, which is reminiscent of the sexy Tarzan and Jane era. While we’re not sure if Malik will be swinging from tree to tree in leafy clothes, the track will mark the first time coming together of father (Anu) and daughter (Anmol) on the duet. He has sung a track for Jackie Shroff’s son, Tiger, who is gearing up for a high-profile launch by Sajid Nadiadwala in the forthcoming Heropanti, releasing worldwide on May 23.

With the big success Ragini Mms 2 under her belt, Sunny Leone is indeed hitting the mainstream button with vengeance. She has green-lighted her next Bollywood outing in the form of Mastizaade. The film is special as it also marks the return of Milap Zaveri as a director. With three back to back hits as a writer behind him (Grand Masti, Main Tera Hero and Shootout At Wadala), Milap is indeed raring to go. If the title is exciting enough, Sunny Leone would be playing a character by the name of, hold your breath, Laila Lele. "I am really excited to have Sunny as my Laila," quips Milap, whose Shootout At Wadala incidentally had Sunny in an item number titled 'Laila'. While the film's screenplay has been written by Mustaq Sheikh, dialogues are by Milap Zaveri. Mastizaade also marks the return of Milap with Pritish Nandy Communications (Pnc). "After writing...

Mumbai, March 9: What is the best way to reduce tension? Spending time with the family, says acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee.
"Getting candid with my family the best stress-buster. One look at them and I feel every trouble is worth it. Do you think so too?" -- tweeted Manoj who is married to actress Neha. The couple has a daughter.
Recently seen in different kind of roles in "Chakravyuh", "Special 26" and "Shootout at Wadala", the actor is known for getting under the skin of his character.
And he confesses that sometimes such involvement with his role makes it difficult for him to differentiate between reel and real.

Director and producer Sanjay Gupta has spoken about the lack of good music in Indian films.
Gupta has always been vocal about his views, likes and dislikes and recently commented on the state of current soundtracks. “In the name of all the noise and item songs we have become scared of simple melodies. The same is happening to our film making. I do not absolve myself having been a part of the item song rat race, but swear never to go down that road ever again. Music must be music,’ said the Shootout at Wadala director.
“It is very disheartening whats happening today. Such big budgeted massively cast films are coming out and most of them have music that leaves so much to desire. I myself am very unhappy with my soundtrack of Saw as I feel its far from my best. My lack of total conviction in the music may well be the reason.
