Tilly and Friends

I cannot believe that this amazing and beautiful series has no reviews! So, here is mine:

This series is based on the amazing books by Polly Dunbar 'Hello Tilly' (2008), 'Happy Hector' (2008), 'Where's Tumpty?' (2009), 'Doodle bites' (2009), 'Goodnight Tiptoe' (2009), and 'Pretty Pru' (2009), all stunning and sweet.

When I heard about the existence of the only 2 DVDs of "Tilly and friends" (sadly this series only lasted for about 40 episodes), I was very reluctant to buy them and watch them, because I thought: "it is impossible that this series will reach the level of the books". But then I watched them with my children and I was highly surprised. The series is really well made and it is faithful to the poetic world of Tilly and her five friends: Doodle (a female crocodile), Tumpty (an elephant), Hector (a sweet little pig), Tiptoe (a sweet little rabbit), and Pru (a pretentious hen).

The stories are poetic and beautiful, with great valors like friendship and solidarity, and the artwork is amazing: beautiful drawings to fit the perfect world of Tilly and her five special friends.

My 3 year old daughter adores this series. But my 8 year old son and my 10 year old daughter love it too. It is a series for all children, because deep valors don't age, and because it is poetic, artistic, amazing, and sweet. "Tilly & friends" is a masterpiece. I would say it is one of the best series ever made for children.

I really like this episodes. It's really great for little kids. It's funny and it's not scary at all. Tilly and her friends always have a great time together. 10/10
