As we've already reported, Steven Spielberg's classic sci-fi film Close Encounters of the Third Kind is getting a remastered 4K re-release. I'm incredibly excited about this because I've never seen the movie on the big screen before and it's one of my favorites.

The former Emmerdale actress stars opposite Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back star Jason Mewes in the DVD release.
Devil's Tower follows Sarah, who moves into a crime-ridden neighbourhood after being thrown out by her abusive mother (Frances Ruffelle).
She and neighbour Sid (Mewes) soon team up after a series of paranormal and horrific incidents occur in the block.
The comedy horror film also stars Jessica-Jane Stafford, Emma Buckley and Peter Barrett, and is released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 15.
Pallett is best known for playing Jo Sugden in Emmerdale from 2005 to 2008.

Synopsis
Albion Court is the least ‘des res’ in the neighbourhood – a hangout for drug dealers, rife with squatters, and two residents recently died in an apparent bizarre suicide pact. Sarah (Pallett) has been thrown out by her abusive, alcoholic mother (Ruffelle) so she moves in to the notorious block.
Determined to make the best of things, Sarah tries to settle in; but she is disturbed by bizarre neighbours, strange sounds coming through the paper-thin walls, creepy images on the TV, and an overwhelming feeling that she is being watched. Things get a whole lot worse when a badly mutilated...

Back in April we learned the dates of Grimmfest 2014, which takes place in Manchester, England, from the 2nd-5th October, and now they've revealed the headlining act and first film along with some special September preview screenings.
Headlining Grimmfest 2014 is Italian 70's progressive rock legends Claudio Simonetti's Goblin, performing a live score to Dario Argento’s horror classic Suspiria. This truly unique event will take place at The Dancehouse in Manchester on Friday 3rd October. Click here for ticket info.

Roxanne Pallett has spoken about her upcoming movie role. The former Emmerdale actress recently signed up to star in the British horror film Devil's Tower. Pallett revealed that she has always been frightened of horror films, and that the role has been her biggest challenge so far as an actress. "I'm scared of horror films. Jaws is about as far as I can go," she is quoted as saying in The Sun. "Even reading the script for Devil's Tower in bed gave me the creeps."
