In the scene when Malcolm is fired, his boss's mug can be seen that has writing on it which reads "Your Fired".

Goofs
In Malcolm's apartment when Malcolm and the Genie are talking there is an empty fruit bowl on the table that is then full half way through the scene. (This is due to a shot of the Genie magically filling the bowl not making the final cut of the film.)

Alternate versions
In an alternative take, the office employee who bursts in to announce he's "taking Malcolm's stapler" instead stated that he's sleeping with his girlfriend.
