Part 1 of the Dark Phoenix Saga. The X-Men must escape Dr. Lang's ship before it self-destructs. In the aftermath, Jean Grey rises as a being who calls herself the Phoenix.

Part 2 of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Jean Grey returns home, and the X-Men receive another visitor as well: an alien being by the name of Lilandra, asking for the X-Men's help to stop her evil brother D'Ken from taking over the universe.

Part 3 of the Dark Phoenix Saga. The X-Men try to escape the M'Kraan crystal. Later, the X-Men set off to recruit a new mutant by the name of Kitty Pryde - but so does a woman named Emma Frost.

Part 4 of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Jean, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler locate another mutant by the name of Dazzler. Meanwhile, Colossus, Storm, and Wolverine are being held captive by Emma Frost, and only Kitty Pryde can rescue them.

Part 5 of the Dark Phoenix Saga. The X-Men investigate an organization called the Hellfire Club, while Jean's powers begin to grow out of control.

The final chapter in the Dark Phoenix Saga. With the Dark Phoenix now unleashed, the X-Men must stop her before she destroys the world.
