I was not expecting Reunion 108 to be quite as hilarious as it turned out to be. There were moments where I sensed such strong feelings of nostalgia amongst the older players for "the good old days". The acting certainly surpassed my expectations and I felt as if I was right there in the midst of the actors and, in a way, I was because I became the lucky proverbial fly on the wall. I can remember thinking as I watched the movie that, even though I know the game, I was now being given an inside look behind the sacrosanct doors of the clubhouse, with all of the rawness and language there for the taking. No holds were barred in the discussions. There were moments where I actually felt like I was seeing a bit of myself as I watched some of the women in the various flashbacks.........or maybe I was just wishing to live vicariously in their shoes!!! Anything and everything was likely to be addressed in some priceless manner throughout the movie. While Reunion 108 is full of humor, careful consideration was given by the screenwriter to address current social issues such as the Native American names which have been given to so many professional sports teams. Reunion 108 is very well written and directed and I would definitely highly recommend this movie!!
