Tagline: "Sex, drugs, murder…wanna go camping?" Rob Willey's Dark Cove is camping in the United Kingdom and Ireland, this week. The film, completed in 2015, has gone worldwide in late May. Filmed on British Columbia's rugged "Wet Coast," the film involves five friends, a camping trip, hallucinogenic mushrooms and a confrontation with two, aggressive, Australian surfers. This is the first time the film has been made available outside of North America. Now, it is being hosted on several digital platforms, throughout the territories mentioned above. A preview of the film's international launch is hosted here. This indie horror fan was at the World Premiere, for Dark Cove. The film's story begins simple enough as five friends head out for a day of sun and surf. Out on the beaches, they encounter two surfers. Together, all seven begin to party into the wee hours of the night, until events take a dark turn.

Director Rob Willey has completed production on the wilderness based horror feature Dark Cove. This film was shot near Sombrio and French Beach in British Columbia. The film's official trailer shows some of the film's gorgeous settings, along with some of the movie's more nefarious characters. The clip is full of action and terror! Dark Cove involves a camping trip and five friends on a road trip. Together, Ian (Eliot Bayne), Quinn (Willey), Jen (Montanna McNalley), Joey (Rob Abbate), and Donnie (Cameron Crosby) find paradise. Partying and jokes run through the night. But, a hallucinogenic drug trip leads to a brutal situation; now, one person is dead and one group of Australian surfers is looking for revenge. Rob Willey is the frontman of the rock group Jell. Willey won "Best Director" for his video "Out of Your Head" at the Vancouver Island Music Awards in 2012. He has continued to work with the camera. In 2013, Willey began shooting a feature length horror film, titled Dark Cove. Willey has encountered a few challenges during filming. In this interview, Willey talks about plans to distribute his first horror title. He also discusses some of the treacherous sets, which were truly isolating and even dangerous. Willey also discusses a future and mysterious upcoming production. (Michael Allen): Rob, I mostly know you from your touring days with Jell. I only recently heard that you were trying out filmmaking. This camping-in-the-woods thriller deals with an adventurous surf trip that quickly spirals into chaos and murder.
