On tap right now is the first teaser for indie maven Mel House's latest terror tale Spavine, which is still hitting the fest circuit and currently causing quite a buzz with distributors. Dig it!
Spavine was written and directed by Tiffany Heath and stars Denton Blane Everett (Psychic Experiment), Tiffany Heath (Mulberry Stains), and Jake Austin. House produces with Heath and Nick W. Nicholson. Phil Nichols/Facades FX handled the special makeup effects, including the mask you see on the poster below.

There is nothing supernatural in the movie. Every bit of this...

Word of a new indie project arrived in our inbox this week along with an early look at some FX sculpture work done by Phil Nicholas for the project. Check out the first details on Spavine {Marked by Damage}.
The film is written by Tiffany Heath and will be helmed by up-and-coming horror director Edgar Price. The cast includes Denton Blane Everett (Mulberry Stains, Psychic Experiment), Tiffany Heath (The Truth, Mulberry Stains), and Jake Austin (The Taxi, Mulberry Stains).
Mel House (Psychic Experiment, Imago, Place Holders) is on board as associate producer, and Phil Nichols of Facades FX (Renfield the Undead, Boggy Creek 2010, Psychic Experiment) will be handling the special make-up effects.
Phil told us of the killer, "He wears a leather face type mask made up of the skins of children and horses," which explains a little of what you'll see below.
