While the song Aga Bai from Aiyyaa (2012) by Amit Trivedi seems original, there was, some influence from the song Magic Fly by Space (1977
Marathi film Gandha (2009) (Smell), was comprised of three short films; Lagnaachya Vayachi Mulgi (A Bride To Be), Aushadh Ghenara Manus (A Man On Medicines), and Baajoola Basleli Baai (A Woman Sitting Aside). This is a feature-length remake of the same story from A Bride to Be, with Anita Date-Kelkar reprising her role as the heroine's friend and co-worker. Various other crew members also worked on both films including, director Sachin Kundalkar, who makes his Hindi-language directorial debut.
Hindi-language debut of Malyalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Hindi-language debut of Marathi actors Anita Date-Kelkar, Subodh Bhave, and Amey Wagh.
The film had a theatrical release in Surrey British Columbia Canada.
