The people on the show are fairly engaging and their recipes interesting. That's the good part. The bad part: They repeatedly did some very unsafe things without any commentary about it - I thought this was an oversight until I watched some more: 1. They stacked a bunch of bricks in the oven and cooked the food directly on them. NOT many types of bricks are made to be food safe. There's a lot that can go into them that can be released by moisture and heat and transferred directly into that food. 2. Cooking in a pan of dirt. NOT even potting soil is sterile. Baking dirt can sterilize it but I wouldn't recommend doing it with the food in it. Not as likely to be a major health issue - just a bit low on the cleanliness standards 3. Cooking with cashew fruit. You might want to mention that cashew nuts are NOT supposed to be consumed raw even if the fruit/apple can be. Touching raw cashews can cause severe skin rashes - eating raw cashews can be fatal. AND NOW the one that convinced me they are just idiots. Episode Spicy Cuban 4. The show ends with a drink menu featuring Blackberry mojitos with blackberries from the trees over the restaurant deck. Um... blackberries DO NOT grow on trees. Blackberries grow on canes. What they were using were mulberries. Luckily mulberries are edible raw - but what if they weren't? Did they just luck out on not poisoning people? And what about those awesome trained palates of theirs? Blackberries and mulberries are distinctly different in both flavor (mulberries are not sour) and texture (mulberry seeds are quite small.)
In conclusion I can no longer watch a show that is so full of blunders and the possibility of poisoning some innocent customer or viewer.
