This has a great story but it's not really consistent. The story revolves around Shane accidentally killing a wrestler in the ring but Shane doesn't really stand out. Ashton Amherst and Roddy Piper stole the whole show. As someone who has worked with Ashton at PWX, i was amazed how great of a Irish accent he has. I Couldn't recognize his voice. one of the most noticeable inconsistency is when ever some is running r fighting off the zombies. It's always the same 3-4 guys that fight them before getting eaten. Then the horde comes in to finish them off. The editing i terrible. it's obvious that some of the lines where over dubbed cause they didn't match up with their lips.
My buddies and I do "dumpster fire movie" nights, and this was bad even for that. We weren't expecting it to be good by any means, but there wasn't anything about this movie to make it enjoyable on any level.
My brother is a wrestling fan and I thought this might be a laugh to watch. I was wrong. So here is my guess on how this movie got made...
Producer: Hey Roddy, how ya doing?
Roddy: Not bad, knee still hurts like an SOB. What's up?
Producer: I just got my State Income tax check and the account says I need a something to write off as a loss for next year if I don't want to pay taxes again.
Roddy: Yeah, what's that got to do with me?
Producer: Wanna earn a quick $500 dollars? I need something remotely resembling a star to convince the IRS we at least made an attempt to make a profit.
Roddy: Sure, you providing the hookers?
Producer: No, but Shane knows a couple of girls looking for a break and...
Okay, so maybe it didn't go quite that way but, does it really matter. This film is so bad it makes Uwe Boll look like an academy award director. The script was bad, the acting was bad, the special effects were bad. You name it, it was bad. This movie is so bad they wont so it in 48 states because to do so would be considered cruel and inhuman punishment. Did I say it's bad?

Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies may not be for those that are looking for a sensational, blockbuster film. But for those of us that enjoy a good low-budget gem, this is the film to watch. Some of the biggest names in professional wrestling are fighting off hoards of the undead. What more could a fan of both worlds want? Were there some inconsistencies? Yes, but even the biggest films in Hollywood have inconsistencies. To me, those inconsistencies did not ruin the film overall. It was still entertaining. The plot was well-developed and the dialogue was witty and memorable. Roddy Piper and the supporting cast delivered excellent performances. Ashton Amherst's character transformation was remarkable. I would definitely recommend the film to fellow wrestling fans.
