Timely as today's headlines

The setting is very current, Chief Justice trial is on TV. Jestoni is caught stealing an iPhone and undergoes the rigors of how one is brought to justice. Initially, it's just a tedious process, the suspects are even subjected to medical exam as proof that no torture is happening while inside the jail. Later, the reality sets in... the police that are sworn to protect the public is the very root of the petty and not so petty crimes in the city.

The movie has some ironies... The police chief who didn't take the bribe, Jess' life changing when he was released from the police station and the mother begging for her son's life.

There is also comic relief from John Lapus, playing a victim of budol budol and the police who interviews his suspects with a sense of humor. All in all, this gritty portrayal of life in the streets is as real as today's headline. Very timely and an eye opener.
