'One Dollar Lawyer' is an absolutely great storyline about a lawyer whose legal fee is just a 1000 wons. The story comes with some amazing twists and turns. Some aspects of the drama might feel similar to dramas like Vincenzo, but 'One Dollar Lawyer' is a different type of project and is not to be judged by comparing it with other dramas. Min Namkoong really understood the assignment well and his acting was on point in both the phases of the character. Apart from that, even other short roles (criminals, accused, etc.) are very well played by the actors. I give it a 9/10 because I did not much like the way it ends. In my opinion, the story could've been a bit longer and spicier. But overall it is a really good drama and will not fail to entertain you and keep you hooked.

A recently qualified lawyer expects to take a position in her grandfather's large company but is surprised when he suggests she becomes a trainee with a strange indipendenr lawyers office. The lawyer in in charge there was once a prosecutor and has an odd way of approaching cases and only charges a dollar for each client, hence the title. Initially they do not gel but over time she learns the sad reason for his quirkiness and they begin to respect each other. It is a well acted series particulay the leads who are both appealing characters. The story is interesting but lacks development of the villains and because of this the story seems to fall short.

A very funny and lovely series, but with a very simple and uncomplicated story..
What makes this drama interesting, is the very good performing abilities of the first three actors.
Every drama has its flaws and this one is not an exception but the acting of the actors of this series makes the moments of the story sweeter.
Nam Goong Min, Park Jin Woo and Kim Ji Eun make you laugh from the first to the end The story is generally about a young lawyer and his two colleagues in order to execute justice. Don't expect to see romantic scenes in this 12-episode mini-series. There is nothing but special police mysteries, and I give this series a score of 8 out of 10.

I didn't expect much before I start watching this series but turns out its a comedy with a heartwarming message to the audience. And I felt in love with the main character during the first court case (the pickpocket) I didn't expect to so in such an emotional roller coaster but this is what i get from that story alone.
Of course its not all perfect, there are some of those nonsense comedy scenes as well but I find them very entertaining and I laughed very loud so many times during those nonsense.
Its very hard to find a good comedy series nowadays but if you're looking for some great stuff.. look no more.. this series is "it"

This series has won my heart, it is perfect from the starting to the end there is no boredom, from starting of the first episode only it is so much interesting which made me to watch and continue on the go, they also took several story like cases which makes it more interesting to watch rather than telling one long story on whole series and also the acting is so perfect and also there are some comedy moments too I liked the concept of the 1 dollar lawyer and this should be one of the must watch list in the kdrama thing and they also ellaborated the main story at the end which made even more interesting overall i liked it....
One of the best korean drama I have seen so far with heroic, comedy, friendship and love storyline about a small team of 3 members dedicated themselves to help the ordinary people who cannot afford the typical expensive lawyer fee to seek justice.
The producer did a great job in selecting the characters for the storyline like Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun as the main actor and actress and Park Jin-woo as the supporting actor. Three of them have such a great chemistry working together and their acting were very on point.
I finished the 10-episodes drama in one weekend and I fell in love with their acting and hoping the 3 of them can make another season of the drama.

The drama had a good and gripping start with the trial and everything surrounding it but it was the only trial in the drama. The rest turned out to be something different. I wish we had more like that trial. Although the silliness and slacking around was fun at first but it got a little tiring later on and padding the drama with 3 full episodes of flashbacks with a serious tone wasn't enough. Despite its shorter runtime there were big inconsistencies rooming around, it's like they had 3 dramas with 3 different ideas shoved into one. However, the drama always felt like there was something missing to formula. I really liked the concept, it had much more to offer than we were shown. The characters and their dynamic had a lot of potential to be expanded upon. The cast also brought up a good performance to the screen. I found the murder case to be the weakest part of the drama and somewhat boring, it also took too much time before moving on to something else. Right just when we started to get real development the drama ended, that was really unfortunate. I don't think this will get season 2 based on what they've done with these 12 episodes.
This features some really excellent script writing which pairs well with excellent performances by Min Namkoong and the entire cast. There's a lot packed into this series which works the present and past for all they're worth. Why is the fee only one dollar? That answer is revealed over the course of the series and it's definitely worth the watching wait. Some very serious legal/social issues are embedded making this far more than a comic romp. It's not. For romantics--yes, there's a love story. Pay attention because the shifts from present to past and back are subtle. Some great visual film work too.
This feels like 3 Kdramas stuffed into one. The difference between episode 1 (which contains a moving court case) to episodes with lots of filler and gag jokes. Now I enjoyed the filler and the acting was amazing. But that all gets lost in flashback episodes and an ending that could've been 3 episodes shoved into an hour.
This show has such ruined potential it's devastating. How do you get such a good cast, a great idea and ruin it? Apparently the show was cut short which makes sense.
I want to also say that all the character development was not shown, we didn't get to see relationship build but just suddenly one day boom Baek Mari now loves working in Jinhos company. The friendship build up and good cases could've had enough emotional and heartwarming feel.
Alas it wasn't so. I would say watch this anyway and know that the acting never falters but don't think your getting what you get in the first episode.

This show has a number of flaws, which are nicely stated in other reviews. However, in my eyes the charm of the drama is The Mixture of its strengths and faults. As these series are vastly idealistic, it has little relation to the real world behaviours and outcomes, which makes its comedy parts stronger.
The main actors are superb, the script is well written and the story flows nicely, with only a few drops here and there, all the characters stay true to themselves (for me that is always a monumental plus) and the comedy is on point (even the cringey parts).
Could it have been made better? Dropped a bit of cringe, added some more subplot for the second leads? Of course. The problem of Perfection is that it does not have a completeness, a finish line, unlike the real life projects and people's energy levels. At some point someone has to say "it's good enough".
While watching this drama one can feel that it is made with love and care, no feeling of laziness. And I truly appreciate it.

As usual Min Nam-koong made this worth watching. His talents are never ending. One minute I am crying my eyes out in sorrow and the next crying with laughter. His acting skills and ability to surprise me with his humour and of course amazing looks make for a great watch.
Loved the cast, they all jelled well together, quirky humour and laugh out loud moments made this another one of my favourite shows.
Without spoiling things, I like the idea of the one dollar lawyer fee, the whole meaning being able to help everyone, no matter their status or wealth, the opportunity to have the aide and help given to everyone not just the rich.
