Vice Ganda's Christmas offerings are considered a family treat here in Philippines. There was zero to celebrate here. A truly dismal offering with nothing to smile at. Some risky jokes and swear words like "motherf**cker" hardly make this suitable fare for children. And VG's lazy use of gay friends is a mistake. They can't act. Neither can VG's partner/bf. He had an extended period of time because of Covid, to come up with an original idea and a truly entertaining script. But what we got was 10th grade Mr Bean/Benny Hill minus the jokes. It's sad that this was an entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival. It's a million miles from cinematic excellence.
I'm not a fan of Vice Ganda but I watch all his films. Of all his shows, this is the most pointless. I admit that vice's shows and films makes me laugh but it made me sleepy! Maybe because of ivana alawi? But no... the jokes are ugly. The joke is very adult, predictable joke and They also acted badly, especially ivana, not yet a comedy. The story only brought ivana and vice's flashback to the show... but other than that, it's all garbage! The story is also pointless. Hopefully next time they won't release something like this... Again I'm not a basher of vice. I just want to comment on this film.

8/10
As a person who don't actually like to watch Filipino movies, this movie is really one of the Pinoy movies who made me laugh while watching. As per Vice Ganda, she's really a great comedian.. and for Ivana Alawi who's new in the industry, she's a great actress for beginner! The movie itself has so many funny jokes & moral lesson in the end. The only thing that's not appropriate for kids is those spg jokes hehe. But overall the movie is great and made my Christmas more special and happy!
The movie will make u think about family and friendship at the same time, you'll appreciate more your loved ones and friends because this movie represents family and friendship so, get your fam and bff's to watch this.

Partners in Crime is Vice Ganda's comeback movie, this time pairing herself with Ivana Alawi.
This movie a fruit salad of different flavors and a lot of milk. What I mean to say is that this movie triggers emotions in very witty ways. Emotional scenes remain emotional even when it makes you laugh. Uplifting scenes remain uplifting even when it makes you laugh. There's actually a lesson to be learned and it doesn't have too much subplots, which makes it easy to understand. What's more is that it tries to break the typical Filipino Cliches you find in many comedy movies. This movie's plot is very refreshing for a Filipino Movie.
The premise of the movie is about Jack and Nicole's friendship, how they met, how they turned on each other, and how fate reunites them for another try in fixing friendships and ruining careers. All of these plot points are in the trailer so I don't really consider it as spoilers. How the plot played out is what I want to discuss, and boy was it refreshing to see a new concept play out that diverts from other comedy films.
The jokes are new, suspiciously more suggestive, and is honestly even dark at times but they're not the kind of dark ones that might have the tendency to offend anyone. However, there are in fact jokes that do miss; heck there's a lot of them. But when they hit, I assure you that you will get the best laughs out of it. Even if some of the jokes were spoiled to viewers when watching the trailer, it doesn't take away from the laughs at all. In a nutshell, the jokes are what you call an "all or nothing" scenario. It's either you burst our laughing, or you stay silent and ask yourself if there was a joke there in the first place.
The visual effects doesn't look good at all. Honestly it's actually terrible, but that's just used for certain scenes and it doesn't play a big role in the movie. Almost all of the movie is composed of real backgrounds, props, and materials unlike Fantastica.
Even so, I was never entertained this much by a Vice Ganda Movie. I did have a couple laughs in his previous movies, but I had a lot of laughs with this one. Maybe it's just the thrill to see the audience laugh? Probably not. The last time I watched a Vice Movie in the cinema, the audience was barely laughing.
That says a lot to this movie. It's good. You should add this to the list of must-watch movies if you're a Filipino. Sadly, you do have to be a Filipino to understand a lot of jokes, and the sub doesn't really do a good job of translating the jokes.

First of all, I am a fan of all the main characters involved in the movie. They did an excellent job fulfilling their acts as a comedian actors/actresses. The props and location are well-planned, although the editing techniques in the film needs MORE MORE MORE improvement or more more investment. However, I do understand that every scenes that you want to achieve would require such realistic visuals. Overall, the storyline was followed thoroughly, except for some little gaps filling like a scene that Barbara would realize that Jack is also a accomplice, which was seen in the CCTV loop in order to blackmail him and help each other to escape their false crime. Therefore, Barbara would not enact a pitiful character role, but it was a refined moment for this movie knowing star and amateur artists are in the production. More power to the Filipino film creators and the team.
