Exclusive: Lionsgate has snapped up rights to Three Hitmen and a Baby, an action comedy spec from Dave Matalon (Totally Killer) and Matt Altman (Red Widow), Deadline can exclusively reveal.
Pic’s logline is being kept under wraps, though its title clearly riffs on the classic 1987 comedy Three Men and a Baby, starring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson, about three bachelors whose lives change forever when a baby suddenly appears on their doorstep. Kelly McCormick and David Leitch will produce through their company 87North, for whom Max Jacoby is overseeing the project. Meredith Wieck and Jon Humphrey are overseeing for Lionsgate.
Screenwriter Matalon most recently co-wrote the slasher comedy Totally Killer! for Blumhouse and Amazon, which headlined Prime Video’s Halloween season last year. As we first reported, his sci-fi action script Level Up, also written with Altman, is in development with The Hideaway and Vandal Entertainment.

Exclusive: Fox has put in development Red Widow, a one-hour CIA thriller based on Alma Katsu’s forthcoming book, which Sarah Condon is executive producing. A search is underway for a writer to pen the adaptation via an open writing assignment.
In Red Widow, the lives of two female CIA agents become intertwined around an internal threat to the Agency’s Russia Division as they navigate the mostly male world of intelligence. With not long to go until its release on Friday the 20th of November, here's the first full trailer for Marvel's Jessica Jones...
After a stream of intriguing and well-put-together teaser clips, Marvel Studios and Netflix have finally let us have a proper full-length trailer for Jessica Jones, their latest collaboration.
Set in the same corner of New York's Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil (quite possibly the same building, even), Jessica Jones sees Breaking Bad and Don't Trust The B- In Apartment 23 alum Krysten Ritter step into the title role as Marvel's latest super-powered protagonist. This one comes with a twist, though - Jessica has hung up her superhero costume and decided to carve out a career as a private detective instead.
The reasons for this decision will surely be unfurled over the course of the 13-episode season, which lands in its entirety on Netflix on Friday the 20th of November.

After frantically sprinting from the press to the general admission line and waiting in the queue hall for hours with the help of my Jewel (Jessica Jones’ old superhero identity) cosplaying friend Julia, I had the privilege of attending the Marvel Netflix panel about Daredevil Season 2 and Jessica Jones Season 1, which is set to premiere on November 20. The panel looked back at the first season of Daredevil while showing the first footage of the upcoming second season, and the lucky fans in the audience also had the chance to watch the first episode of Jessica Jones after a discussion with the cast and showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Dexter).
Before the panel officially started, moderator Jeph Loeb, who is Marvel’s Head of TV, trotted on stage with the Marvel Studios fanfare playing in the background with actors Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, and Mike Colter, who play Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage...

After Daredevil lands on Friday the 10th of April, Marvel Studios’ next Netflix show is Aka Jessica Jones - it's all about a superhero-turned-detective played by Krysten Ritter.

Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series A.K.A. Jessica Jones has just gained three new cast additions, in the form of The Originals’ Eka Darville, The Kings of Summer actress Erin Moriarty, and Red Widow‘s Wil Traval.
Based on the initial casting report, the trio won’t be taking on roles of pre-established comic book characters, but will instead play smaller supporting parts. However, the character descriptions are just vague enough to suggest that maybe there’s more here than meets the eye, so I wouldn’t rule out any ties to the source material just yet.
Darville will play Malcolm, a neighbor to Jessica Jones “whose own journey will intertwine with her quest in a surprising way.” As for Moriarty, she’ll play a girl named Hope who becomes a client at Jones’ detective agency, Alias Investigations, and Traval will play an NYPD cop who “takes ‘protect and serve’ very seriously.

Amnesia TV show Blindspot will bring Lady Sif actress Jaimie Alexander and Arrow/The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti together…

The cast of John Hillcoat’s Triple Nine just got a little more badass. Today, we’ve learned that Clifton Collins Jr., last seen in Transcendence and perhaps best known for his roles in Pacific Rim and on one-and-done TV dramas Red Widow and The Event, has come aboard the crime thriller in a supporting role.
No word yet on Collins’ role, but Triple Nine will focus on a scheme gone awry planned by a group of dirty cops. The full synopsis, via Deadline, reads:
A crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck action packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.

Hercules is a story that is in desperate need of a retelling, right? Apparently so, as at least two different Hercules themed movies are being released within a year of one another. My only hope is that the Dwayne Johnson starring vehicle will be at least entertaining, where as The Legend Of Hercules 3D is a headache in a bottle. I’m surprised that this was a widely released theatrical affair, to be honest. I’d never even heard of the film until Jeff went to see it at the theater, and came back with reports of its awfulness. I find it odd, as much time as I spend on a daily basis, on social networking sites, and other various corners of the internet, that I didn’t even see one advertisement for this film. Hercules came and went at the box office, debuting on its opening weekend at the #3 spot,...
