a very fun, atmospheric horror movie from Slovakia!
Zlo is a movie that gets absolutely no attention whatsoever, which is a great shame because I thought it was one of the strongest horror films to come out from Europe.
We have a small crew who work on a television show, specializing in the paranormal. When they get word that a strange man is having problems with spirits inside his home, they go to check it out. Little do they know, they are about to embark on a journey through hell, as matters get way out of hand.
This is a very simplistic film, which gives it every opportunity to impress in the horror set pieces. Which is exactly what it does. Attention to detail is what brings out the sheer terror that the movie has. Everything from the setting to the acting, creates a claustrophobic atmosphere that never lets up until the very end.
I would highly recommend this film if you are a fan of European Horror!
