Throughout the entire movie, Pilou Asbæk acted with a small piece of toilet paper stuck behind his upper lip as it helped him replicate the voice of Simon Spies.

To get into character, Pilou Asbæk and Nicolas Bro regularly met during the pre-production and played table tennis - an activity enjoyed by Simon Spies and Mogens Glistrup throughout their entire friendship.

Director Christoffer Boe, initially planned to make a movie about Simon Spies but during the initial research he learnt about the close friendship between Spies and Glistrup and subsequently decided to make a movie about the friendship.
