The last film Richard Hatch completed before his death. Hatch started other films, some of which were completed, but his part in those films was less than intended due to his dying before those films were completed.
Shot in 35mm film.
Tim Thomerson's character is named after Rick Kesler, a former actor-turned-minister whom the director and star Nick Baldasare worked with many times. The real Kesler agreed to appear as the film's reverend, but he had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict.
Jay Woelfel wrote a 30-page treatment for the film soon after completing his first feature, the minor cult classic Beyond Dream's Door (1989). Although it generated interest, the narrative was too unusual for Hollywood to take a chance on it. Eventually, Woelfel shot it independently with the same star and a few crew members, referring to this as a "spiritual sequel."
