Q (Gandu, Tasher Desh), Thiagarajan Kumararaja (Aaranya Kaandam) are among eleven directors who have joined hands to make a collaborative feature “X” to be executive produced by Shiladitya Bora of PVR Directors’ Rare.
“X” is a filmmaker’s journey through his past encounters with his 10 ex-girlfriends as he spends one surreal unforgettable night at a film festival after he meets a mysterious girl who intriguingly seems to have something to do with every woman in his life.
Abhinav Shiv Tiwari (Oass), Anu Menon (London Paris New York), Hemant Gaba (Shuttlecock Boys), Pratim D. Today it was unveiled that 11 of India's hottest young filmmakers are teaming up for an omnibus project titled X - The Film, and based on the names involved, I am very excited. The 11 directors on X - The Film are responsible for some of India's finest independent projects over the last few years, and bring a wide cultural perspective to the film. Mumbai, Oct 24: Actress Dia Mirza, who made her Bollywood debut with 2001 release "Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein", has dedicated her first Bengali film "Paanch Adhyay" to her mother.
"It is my first Bengali and my first regional film ever. I dedicate this to my mother, who is a Bengali. She is turning 60 this year and it was a very special moment for me when she saw the movie and said 'this is the best birthday gift you could have ever given me'," Dia said.
She was here at a press conference of the film after it was screened Tuesday at the ongoing 14th.
"It is my first Bengali and my first regional film ever. I dedicate this to my mother, who is a Bengali. She is turning 60 this year and it was a very special moment for me when she saw the movie and said 'this is the best birthday gift you could have ever given me'," Dia said.
