This film was shot in "The Golden Steer", a fine restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unchanged in appearance since the 1950s, among those who have dined at this restaurant on a regular basis were Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis Presley, and John Wayne. Their personal booths are all marked with a small plaque.
When a colleague told the crew to "break a leg", they made it a reality. The large grand piano in the bar was moved into the dining room on the second night of filming when suddenly a loud snap was heard. The piano leg cracked at the top nearly toppling the instrument. A new replacement leg had to be built by the same company who installed the piano in the bar a decade before. The piano sits in the bar once more entertaining guests.
Rachel Verret's film directing debut.
