Although the English title for this film is "Naked Poison 2" this movie has nothing to do with the original "Naked Poison" other than the fact that Sophie Ngan appears in both films. You get to see a whole lot more of her in this film than the other.
For a soft core thriller it actually has an interesting premise. A young lady suffers a head injury during the murder of her boyfriend. As a result she can only remember things in bits and pieces, usually in 10 to 15 minute spurts. The police are clueless to solve the murder mystery which makes her desperate in trying to remember what happened. Because her memory is so short she ends up tattooing the clues on her own body to ensure she doesn't forget.
Production values are fairly good. They spent money on lighting, most of the sets are 'real' sets, not on a stage. The actresses are all beautiful and have no problem showing off their 'talents'. Ms Ngan in particular shows us quite an eyeful this time around. I'm still trying to decide whether or not her breasts are real but one thing I know for certain, they're real lovely to look at.
For the horn dogs out there there's quite a few extended sex scenes between Sophie and her boyfriend, the boyfriend and a mistress, a threesome with all three, and one with Sophie and some random lady in a limo who shows up again near the end. There are a few strange sex scenes where the director decides to show them having sex in front of a plasma ball (those balls filled with electricity you see in science class). Along with being really strange, I found it distracting, wondering if the actresses hairs were standing on end...
8/10 for the steamy sex scenes, decent plot, and Sophie's amazing breasts. In the CatIII category, it's tough to beat this HK soft core thriller.
