Lesbian Sex

Quite successful as a trend-setter in so-called "realistic" depiction of lesbian sex on screen, Girlfriends Films attempted to go one step further in this series of lengthy (each runs at least 4 hours covering 2 DVDs) combo interview/porn videos. I much prefer the storyline approach in which the same actresses get to develop characterizations or at least convincingly role-play. Without this, it devolves into generic, commodity sex, millions of hours of which are available free on the internet.

The odd women out in this 4-segment initial edition are clearly Kara Price and gal pal Abby Darling. Their vignette runs well over an hour and is devoted strictly to "ass-play", something of a euphemism. With plenty of lube at their fingertips, they indulge each other's assholes in almost textbook, instructional fashion (observed in gynecological close-up detail by the uncredited camera lady they call "Sabrina" at one point).

Certainly both are expert at use of a quite-long (but easily gobbled up) strap-on dildos, and when their fingers do the walking Kara performs virtual fisting inside Abby. She explains in the interview segment that she opened and closed her hand inside the vagina, but only kept her thumb out in plain air to adhere to the current obscenity laws. Lots of fisting exists in porn today, but not from any major companies like Girlfriends so this skirting of the rules is just typical porn misbehavior toiling within a regime where free expression is absent.

The other segments are quite routine and in each case vastly inferior to explicit sex borne out of story/characterization. Queen of kink Dana DeArmond keeps asking her pretty but dead-weight partner (with jail-bait braces on her teeth) Rilee Marks "what to do you want to do?", but nothing much happens in their ho-hum bout. India Summer and Prinzzess let it be known that they're living together (this is 2011) and perhaps getting married. All that patter achieves is creation of an air of unreliability, as most of what the gals, especially smarmy Elexis Monroe paired up with Brandi Love, have to say is either quite self- serving (Monroe's endless plugging of her video projects, especially the upcoming "Two Mommies") or just b.s.

Much proselytizing about the wonders of their profession is hard for me to stomach, as the defense of pornography by pornographers is grating after hearing the same refrain a thousand times. Add to that Kara's stupid advocacy for the joys of anal sex and one wonders how an entire generation of young women can be convinced to study STEM in college and become successful scientists and engineers rather than opting for the "glamorous" world of porn. As with sports, the few that reach the top rank do not make up for the thousands who fall by the wayside in this rough racket.
