A post shared by Zachary Quinto (@zacharyquinto) on Apr 19, 2017 at 10:07pm Pdt Zachary Quinto is mourning the death of his beloved dog, Noah, who passed away earlier this week. The Star Trek actor shared the sad news on Instagram on Thursday. Along with a cute photo of the two, Zachary penned a touching tribute that reads as follows: "anyone who has ever truly known me in the last 14 years has known this true prince. noah has been by my side through up and down. thick and thin. feast and famine. in loving him i learned to love myself more fully. he taught me compassion and patience and generosity... and oh how he made me laugh. he made friends wherever he went. his spirit was pure. his love was legend. i am a better person for having had him in my life. but tonight we had to let him go.

Though there is always the chance that disappointment could once again rear its ugly head, it is difficult not to wonder whether the discussion around the topic of women in film has brought the issue to some kind of tipping point – a moment where perhaps conversation and rhetoric might finally give way to concrete action and results.
At the present time, the feminism-heavy Mad Max: Fury Road is engaged in a box-office tug of war with the female driven, female-directed Pitch Perfect 2. In addition, the female-driven movie Carol has taken the Cannes Film Festival by storm, as has the female-led Sicario, by Denis Villeneuve. These are films that actively centre on women, and are stories that occur outside of any comic book realm, or cohesive cinematic universe. Industry observers might be forgiven for thinking that this is just another passing phase, and that the discriminatory status quo will ultimately hold firm – but then,...

Zachary Quinto is set to make a splash this year when he portrays Spock in the upcoming Star Trek: Into Darkness. Before the summer, however, Quinto is biding his time with several other projects. A short film starring the former Heroes star has popped up on Fishbowl Worldwide Media's Petsami channel. The film is titled Dog Eat Dog, and it follows Quinto as he attempts to adopt a dog. Along the way, he faces a series of trials alongside director Sian Heder, co-star Philip Baker Hall, and, because this is Petsami, a host of adawwable wittle puppies. Watching the film, I kept getting scared; I still picture Quinto as a cold, calculating serial killer, and I wanted assurance that no animals were harmed in the making of this film. Dog Eat Dog started as a Kickstarter campaign in 2011, and was completed after raising more than $30,000. On the film, Quinto...

Zachary Quinto has managed to somehow become even more endearing (You might be thinking, how is that possible when most of his characters are so sinister? And yet it is … ). Starting today, he is starring in the worldwide digital release of a short film called Dog Eat Dog.
The true story of how Quinto found his first dog, it is a tail tale of determination as he outwits another potential dog owner (actor Philip Baker Hall) who hopes to adopt the same puppy.
“This story is very close to all of us, as we have all rescued or fostered dogs over the years,...

Director Karyn Kusama's ready to get the party started.
The "Girlfight," "Æon Flux" and "Jennifer's Body" director's now pulled a cast together for her next thriller, "Invitation," which is expect to start production this summer.
According to Deadline, "Star Trek" star Zachary Quinto, Topher Grace, "The Big Bang Theory" star Johnny Galecki, and Luke Wilson have all signed on for the flick.
Wilson will star as a man who gets an invitation to his ex-wife's dinner party and quickly discovers she and her new pals are up to no good. Nope, this just isn't another "Dinner for Schmucks." This shindig's gonna be deadly.
No word yet on how production on "Invitation" impacts Kusama's other planned project for the year, "The Rut" with Chloe Moretz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Ray Liotta. Filming on "The Rut" was expected to begin this year, with a 2013 release date anticipated.
