I like Tim Dillon a fair amount, his comedy is very energetic and fairly creative at times. This special did not do justice to his standup as much as it should've. Americans fat, liberals are weird, Covid (which really dates the special) and so on. Granted these bits were still delivered with great energy but the crowd was lackluster, you can tell the editing team had to add in fake laughter. I won't say Tim's a hack but some of his jokes could've used some work. I found the experience more positive as there were moments that were genuinely funny which made my rating a 6 rather than a 4 or 5.

While I love the comedy he's creating on stage, his rhythm is obviously affected from this auditorium that completely adore him;which causes more applause breaks rather than genuine laughter,which kills the special. Feel bad for the guy but hopefully he bounces back with another special with a crowd that doesn't worship him,and instead just tries to go to laugh at a comedian,like we used to back in the day.

Covid is a beat up subject. Nothing worse than when comedians talk about Joe Rogan in their own specials. Thats just as beat up. The cruise but was great and original. The rest just seemed to be outdated, easy subject to rant on. I love Tim. I never miss a podcast. He could have done A LOT better than this. 5/10.

I personally love tim, listen to his podcast every week and love his sense of humor. I might have set my expectations a bit high bcuz of how good of a ranter he is, and the fact that's all improvised for the most part. Considering that, i thought with more structure it woulda packed a better punch. Don't get me wrong i still laughed pretty good at some points but i don't think this was at his full potential.

This guy is a friend of Joe Rogan and a regular guest on his podcast who is a very funny guy. He reminds me of Artie Lang, a lot. He is a very bright guy but plays the "blue collar", or even White trash role very well. His commentary on Woke culture, social matters, and more. He is critical, and self-effacing and I found him very funny. A mess, but very funny.

Tim is one of the funniest comics ever, yet here he's rambling about the most basic, overdone things - fat people, fast food, "white people are nazis", "texans hate liberals"...

This guy was never so bland and generic until it came time to "clean up" his act for Netflix. The result is... this... Nothing special.

Really disappointing. I'll just assume this is what a comic has to stoop to in order to get a Netflix special at all.

And you can tell this is the selected Netflix audience - they got deathly quiet when he mentioned Joe Rogan, like he dropped an N bomb or something.

Worst of all, just like an Amy Shumer or another hack comedian's special, you can tell there's fake audience laugher and cheers added in post. Sometimes a sample of an audience cheering would play, but at the same time the camera would reveal that the audience is actually sitting still and not reacting whatsoever. It's ridiculous. Netflix keeps doing this, and I get why with its many bad comics, but with Tim?

Funny from start to finish, my only complaint is that it was too short, but that was probably an editing error by Ben and so I can't blame Timmy for that.

Its a funny comedy special, don't get me wrong, but its not one that you will re watch or texts your friends to watch, etc. Tim is funny and if you are into dark humor you should check this special out. Tim has a cult like following from his podcast and from doing other podcasts like Joe Rogan's, so I think that maybe he plays in front of friendly crowds too often or maybe wasnt ready for a special material-wise but knew he had enough viewers to go ahead and cash in because the jokes in this special don't have the same bite as some of Dillon's other works. Still better than the Gringo Papi tho so that's something.

Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge fan of Tim Dillon and his podcast is one of the best things on the internet. Unfortunately however, being funny in one setting doesn't always translate to another and Dillon's stand-up is a good example of this.

Very much like Bill Burr (also much funnier off the cuff than doing scripted shows), Dillon comes across as a bit of a ranting Facebook boomer with the increasingly tiresome anti-woke jokes. And yes wokeness is societal cancer but it seems like every comedian is making the same old jokes about it in a weak attempt to be edgy.

Dillon's humour works best in an intimate setting with a guest or two and his hilarious producer Ben who's background giggling is the perfect complement to the material. Alone on stage he seems a bit lost and it felt like a constant battle to keep the crowd onside. Certainly had it's moments but compared to his podcast this is pretty lame stuff.

Damn, Dillon killed it. Some of his best material yet. I wish he would tell more stories though. His story jokes are absolutely hilarious. This isn't for the easily offended. So if you're sensitive, just don't watch it.

Couldn't find a lot of Tim Dillon's stand-up on youtube but the one bit about influencers was so funny, yesterday I got netflix specifically to watch his special.

"A real hero" is not everything I hoped it to be but I enjoyed it(watched it twice). Tim Dillon is really good at showing what's wrong with America without being preachy. He is a sharp truth-teller and a committed performer. Creative, funny, often uncomfortable.

On the downside, Tim Dillon mostly throws his material at the audience which is his style I guess... I wish he showed more emotional variety, I wish his jokes have been punched up more.

I hope the popularity of his podcast doesn't make Tim Dillon complacent, and his next special is 10/10.

Tim isn't a great stand-up. He's a decent podcaster/commentator. I don't blame Netflix. Good joke-writers can write good jokes even when they're not being vulgar or offensive. If Tim has any good jokes in his portfolio, he left them there for this special. Maybe this was intentionally poor as part of some big long play to get all comedians to self-release like Louis CK and Andrew Schulz...

I think Tim is very funny on his and others podcasts. I gave him about 15 mins to make me laugh and he failed. I turned it off and had to remedy my comedy fix with Eddie Murphy Raw. Witch I've seen countless times and it still had me cracking up. Tim's special is yet another one you can skip.

Tim deserves the stage hes now on as he speaks the truth on todays society... You tell the real story of what's going on in this world and the audience will laugh.. just look back on George Carlins stand ups...

Tim deserves everything he can get for being truthful and having self respect...

I love Tim Dillon but this special just wasn't his best. He does better stand up on his podcast. Maybe he was in his head about the special and it being on Netflix but within about 15 minutes I was scrolling through my phone.

He was just on Rogan again recently and I swear I've already listened to that episode 3 times in a week. He literally had me choking laughing - and of course I get that doing a podcast is totally different energy than being on a stage but Tim never has to try to be funny he just is. He's brilliant. But in this special he seemed to be trying.

Timmo is the best and this hour is fantastic!!

I found Tim's podcast during all the covid crap, and he helped me and Millions more sane during all the crap these past 2 years.

If your offended easy then watch this and tweet about how he is a horrible person so he can get more press and more attention that he deserves!!!

It was just a loud ranting black pilled hot take, one after another, while the canned audience laughter is right on cue after every sentence. There's no real setups or punchlines and the material is stuff that he has said multiple times on his podcast.

The problem with stand up comedy these days is that every comedian online actually devalues their own jokes with their constant podcast appearances and Tweets,

It would of been funnier if Tim stuck to his bread and butter and did an ad read in the middle of his set for Sheath Underwear. He really shines with things like that.

This doesn't translate well into a special as his jokes quickly spiral into shouting and loud rants with no punchline.

Tim Dillon is funny, he has many great bits and rants on his Podcast, however alot of his jokes and comedy were lost to his intensity and his delivery for the most part was abrasive.

A few more years of podcasting and Tim may well develop into a fluid comic with his own style, this special left my ears-ringing and tense.

Shorter than expected but I had some really good laughs. Silent ones and wheezy ones. I loved this special and thought it was super funny! Tim's impression of Joe had me in tears 😂

Been a huge Tim Dillon fan for a while now, and If you love his podcast, you're gonna love this special. Hilarious jokes done in true Tim fashion! Can't wait to see more material in the future!

Don't pay attention to the other reviews, if you're easily offended this is ABSOLUTELY the special for you. Not once in 48 minutes does Tim say anything even close to being considered remotely offensive to anyone. Or funny. This special should've been called Gringo Maricón. At least he finally ditched the bowl cut. Also, he's going to hell for being an abomination. JK, he's going to hell for not writing good jokes.

First time I ever seen him, must say I will not watch him again. First his voice is kind of annoying, Second he kept talking about wanting his mother dead? Like seriously!? That is not funny at all I couldn't believe people clapped. Everything you said was completely bashing people. Definitely not the type of comedian I enjoy. Comedians are people who are funny when they talk about things, the comedy just flows and doesn't bash other people to make themselves funny. More power to the people watching him, if you enjoy someone who nags and bitches about others or puts others down including all of his family then have fun with that.

Jerry Springer with no filters. It's original, edgy and funny. I don't know it it's staged, but it's funny. We needed something like this in our lives. The audience is funny as hell. The people who come on stage seem real and it's funny. The concept is pretty original and super edgy. I love the pro American theme. Every time the audience says GO USA, it's amazing. Tim Dillon is so funny. I believe he's a stand up comedian, and he's funny as hell. Keep up the good work! Keep this going forever. We need this type of schlocky humor in our lives. Good job Netflix and good job Tim Dillon!!!!!!!!!!!
