This chilling thriller blends the underwater suspense of The Hunt for Red October with the mythical intrigue of The Mermaid, creating a tense, genre-bending experience.

Set aboard the USS Titan, a nuclear submarine caught in the crosshairs of escalating tensions with Russia, the film begins with a shocking discovery. A mysterious, naked woman appears in one of the ship’s torpedo tubes, throwing the crew into a frenzy. While Captain Banks (played by Simon Phillips) initially suspects her to be a Russian spy, her unsettling nature suggests something far more sinister. What begins as a tale of espionage quickly unravels into a fight for survival as the crew faces a force that defies comprehension.

Silent Bite is the third exercise in seasonal slaughter from writer/actor Simon Phillips, who also gave us Once Upon a Time at Christmas and its sequel The Nights Before Christmas. While they weren’t the greatest examples of the genre, they were far from the worst as well, and they do say the third time is the charm, so I decided to kick off my Christmas viewing with it.

A gang of Santa suited bank robbers, Prancer, Grinch, Father Christmas (Simon Phillips), and Snowman, are hiding out at The Jolly Roger Inn and Resort. Despite its name, it’s a dump in the middle of nowhere, which makes it perfect for them to lie low while Rudolph leads the police on a wild good chase.

Directed by Jamie Bailey (What Lurks Beneath), The Mouse Trap is written by Simon Phillips (Blood Harvest), who also stars as Mickey, the masked killer, terrorising a gang of friends late one night at an amusement arcade. There’s shocks and gore galore as Mickey dons his mask and goes on a rodent rampage.

With a trailer that’s already scored over one million views on YouTube, this is a horror film that’s sure to get everyone talking.

On January 1st, the earliest versions of Mickey Mouse – seen in the animated shorts Plane Crazy, The Gallopin’ Gaucho, and most famously Steamboat Willie – became public domain… which, of course, means we’re now going to get multiple horror movies that feature characters inspired by Mickey Mouse. Indian channels aggregator, Tata Play Binge, is soon to incorporate Apple TV+, a first-of-its-kind collaboration for Apple TV+ in India. The move means that series such as “Ted Lasso,” “Shrinking,” “Silo,” “Hijack,” “Foundation,” “Tehran,” “Servant,” “Platonic,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” “Bad Sisters,” “Slow Horses” and “Prehistoric Planet,” and Apple Original Films including “Coda” and “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse,” “Ghosted,” and the recently premiered “The Beanie Bubble” will be available on the platform.
