Erik Lindholm had suffered a concussion while working as a jailer, which made it very difficult for him to memorize his lines. In the church scene, Erik reads his lines from a notebook.
Arsi Saarijärvi was one of several actors interested in the part of the bodyguard, but he had no prior acting experience. The director gave the role to Arsi, because he was so taken by the personal struggles, that Arsi had just gone through in his personal life.
Vilma Pitkänen was not originally cast in the picture, but in the editing process, the director felt that the movie required a comedic narrator to appear in between scenes, so he wrote the role for Vilma and filmed all of her scenes while in post production. Vilma Pitkänen never read the complete script, only her own scenes.
Christian Dreadful's make up was first based on the look of Adam Lambert but because Tommy Johansson, who plays Christian Dreadful, refused to shave his beard, the director settled for more gothic rocker look than a pop icon.
While filming a fight scene, Tommy Johansson accidentally punched Dean Portnoj in the face. This take was used in the movie, and is also included in the making of documentary.
