Unlike the original show, Alone (2015) where 10 contestants must outlast one another and the last person left wins 500k, in this series only 6 contestants have to survive 50 days and split their share of 500k , so there could be multiple winners or no winners at all. The twist being that the contest starts much later in the season so that contestants must deal with freezing temperatures for much longer.
