- Madhu comes from the US to Vizag, with her parents and younger brother, for the first time, to attend her cousin's wedding. Madhu attends a party where she meets a middle-aged man, Rao and indulges in a conversation with him. At the wedding, when Madhu gives an unexpected gift to her cousin, the issue heats up and conversion with her mother Sarmishta is blown out. After the wedding, when it was time for Madhu's family to return to the US, Madhu decides to stay back in Vizag for a month to understand the people and the social structure. She wanted to understand what made her mom the woman she is now. Madhu, during her stay in Vizag, meets Gopal, an energetic youngster, who falls for her. She happens to come across Rao, and they embark on a journey which opens up a new possibility. Rao is married, on the verge of divorce with his estranged wife, lives a wayward life, drinks daily and is always on the look out for some alcohol. Rao's mother backs him with a compassion that his wife has deserted him in time of need, while Rao's elder sister theoretically supports Lekha for choosing to live a life of her own, with a man of her choice. Rao had his father's job after his demise. His sister Jyothi, laments that she should have gotten that job, as Rao became a drunkard which cost him his job. Rao has a close friend in Bhushan, who is a vulgar fellow by nature. Rao and Bhushan worked in the same organization for quite some time. Bhushan's wife Vaani controls him, asks him to stay away from Rao and manages her home by working in a boutique. Lekha, a nurse by profession, is currently seeing a dispensary guy Rajesh and they plan on getting married once Rao signs the divorce papers. Rao delays the process which frustrates both Lekha and Rajesh. Rao irks and pesters Rajesh by going to the hospital dispensary and abusing him for no reason. While Madhu explores the life in Vizag, she joins a yoga class and befriends the trainer Vasuki, a widow with a six-year-old daughter. Through Vasuki, Madhu learns the taboos around a widow's sex life and her other preferences. Madhu also gets to know about Rao's wife Lekha and the situation that Rao and Lekha are in. Madhu, knowing that Vasuki and Rao are going through similar situation of being away from an active sex life, tries to hook them up. Parallelly, she gets involved with the pilot. Things don't go as planned for Madhu that evening. Rao goes out of Vizag with Bhushan and in not reachable when Madhu would want him beside her. Circumstances coerce Madhu to reconcile with her mom and return to the US. Rao decides to do something unexpected.
