This story is about child(ren), parent(s) and horrors. It looks like parents are portrayed by (or maybe told by director to act like) people who do not know how parents behave. Leave barely speaking child out of sight? Sure thing. Let him sleep in a crib in another room instead of parents' bedroom? No problem. Watch him through baby monitor instead of having here, in the same bed? I guess, in the age of screens. Leave him alone in a bathtub upstairs with everyone downstairs? Easy peasy. And it goes throughout the whole movie. Parents don't know how to parent and it makes the movie very hard to believe. Any conversation about something suspicious or dangerous ends in 2 minutes without any consequence or continuation. Lots of cliché's. The Bagman is like your regular spooky "main horror villain" you've seen hundreds of times. Overall story is somewhat similar to IT, minus any horror or suspense.
I watched this movie as a part of ongoing Halloween mystery screening so I did not know what the movie is. Lots of promotions going around in my country before release. I would not recommend this movie to anyone because it lacks everything that a movie (not necessary horror) should have.
