I do watch a lot of independent films and I liked the Nothing in the Flowers a lot. This movie was good at relaying the story with feelings and held your interest until the end. The images were very artistic and beautiful, pleasing to the eye and mind. This movie was a first for some of the actors, which you could tell at the beginning of the movie, but you could see the actors grow as the movie went on. When watching Nothing in the Flowers, I was in a crowd that was willing to voice their opinion and that fun hearing people getting so into it. I think that this movie was wonderful for being a first time film for so many of crew and actors and can not wait to see what else Mr. Brewer puts out there for us to enjoy.

This film has beautiful visuals, mostly good acting, believable plot and surprise ending. 4 out of 5 stars for director David Brewer! Warren Ray is creeeepy! There were a couple of continuity errors (dirty face and clothes, then clean, then dirty again)which distracts from the experience a bit. The setting was real life, small town portrayed to perfection. I'll have nightmares about that school bus for ages. The little girls could have bright futures in the acting biz. It was great to see a local film this good. Cheers to the always fun Dale Miller as the police officer trying to work an impossible case. Great sound track too. Can't wait to see more of this talented bunch.

David Brewer did a phenomenal job as the director and producer of his first movie. It had a great story line and script. There was enough suspense, which kept me engaged, on the edge of my seat and waiting for the next scene. It was a story that we've heard before although it was a different story - which added to it being a unique film. Who would have thought that people would use familiar things to carry out evil, depraved thoughts and acts. This movie will make you pause and think about how society can be more vigilant about protecting people. David's work has the tremendous potential of being picked up by a major movie producer. The cast did an excellent job portraying their characters. The lighting, scenes and music were all appropriate for the setting. This is a movie that I would strongly encourage others to go see. Watch out for a producer and director from Kentucky named David Brewer.
This film was brilliant to say the least. It is about abduction but it is not what you would usually expect from a film like this. There were a few issues with this though, some of the camera work was shaky, which in an odd way helped add to the drama in some scenes. The shakiness of the camera in some places also helped add to the chaos. The set was believable and really creepy to be honest. The story line was amazing and so was the music. The cast was great, they really made me believe their characters even though some of them were so young.I really felt like I was on this journey with the girl in the movie. This was a great movie and I can't wait to see what they come up with next!!!!!
