The film had its world premiere in Dallas, Texas the same evening that the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. Many of the actors found out the news through journalists on the red carpet.
The Von Erich family signature move "The Claw" is used in the film Liar Liar as a father/son bonding experience between Fletcher (Jim Carrey) and Max (Justin Cooper) multiple times. The actress (Maura Tierney) who plays the Von Erich matriarch played Max's mom & Fletchers ex wife in Liar Liar.
Fritz asks Kerry about a wrestler by the name of "Hellwig." He is referring to Jim Hellwig, better known as The Ultimate Warrior, who later legally changed his name to just Warrior.
Kerry von Erich was 6'2" while Jeremy Allen White is only 5'7".
When Zac Efron's character, Kevin, confronts his mother about Fritz being too hard on Mike he appears to be just as big as the doorway he's standing in. In real life Kevin stood well over 6 feet while Efron Stands at 5'8. It appears he is either standing on something or the doorway was made smaller.
