I have to admit when I saw the poster for Living Lost, and the one sheet poster of its producers at the Laemmle Music Hall theater, I became intrigued with the film (PS I love a good indie film). I was rewarded handsomely for my investment of $11; the film was in a word, authentic. I believed all the characters (for the most part), but more importantly, I believed the story, and I could relate aspects of the story to trials I've had to endure in my life. Brava to the writer/director and the producers of this finely crafted drama adventure.
I don't consider myself a movie aficionados, but I do like good, thoughtful cinema. I also don't blog much or write reviews very often, but this movie, Living Lost, compelled me to support its filmmakers, and encourage others to see a truly good story. The movie doesn't have any CGI, it's not big budget, nor does it sport any known B list or above actors, but it tells a timeless story, and it does it beautifully (kudos to Jon Bessire it's director). If you're looking for an indie film that delivers a story that will engage you, then this is a gem you don't want to miss.
