Story :
Jai(Pawan Kalyan) is a Trust Worthy Hit-man to Bhagwan (Jackie Shroff) Who Takes Cares of Jai From his Childhood. Munna (Sesh Adivi) is The Only Son Of Bhagawan Who Loves him the most and Wants him To Get No Harm From Any others. Munna is a reckless Sadist who Cares Nobody. Jai gets attention of Sandhya (Sara Jane Dias) who is a Environment Tree Lover. Later Jaidev Gets a Situation due to Munna and Bhagawan Gives Order to Kill Jai(PK). Rest of the story is all about The Situation what Jai(PK) into.
Artist Performances :
Pawan Kalyan's Super Cool Beard Look Wid Awesome Set of Suits and Good Costumes Make Him Look Ultimate cool. His Performance is Extra Ordinary as Hit-man Character. Sara Jane Dias Looks cool in Classic Dresses and Has Done Part Very Well. Anjali Lavania is Good and Sexy in her Little Role which Suited her Well. Adivi Sesh's Acting is Perfect as a Sadistic guy. Brahmanandam is good as Papa Rayudu and gave some little laughs. Ali as PK's Assistant and Friend Does his Part Very well. Jackie Shroff Shows his Acting Skills And Makes Justice to his role. Atul Kulakarni, Tanikella Bharani, Subbaraju, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao and Jhansi all Are Perfect Fit For Their Roles.
Plus Points Of The Film :
Pawan Kalyan Is Super Cool in His New Beard Look,Stylish Suits And Awesome Fights. Top Class Fights all over the movie and Stylised Interesting First Half. BackGround Score is Too Good.
Minus Points Of The Film :
Slow Screenplay Narration Looses The Interest From The Second Half. Some Little Rambles in the Story ( These Hardly Noticeable Like Character of Tanikella Bharani). All Songs Were Chopped as Bit Songs. That is Truly not Acceptable.
Overall Analysis :
All People Were Saying that the Storyline is Just like BALU. Who Ever Says Just Slap him and Say "If he is Playing a Role Below a Don Doesn't Mean That This is a Balu Again". Panja is Ultimate Stylish Cool Movie Which is Wasted in the Second Half due to Slow Narration That Looses The Grip Of Story. This Movie Will Work out at Multiplex's And A Class Areas. Pawan Kalyan Fans Will Be Happy. So Go Widout Any Expectations and Take Out the BALU sensation From Ur Mind so That U can Watch the Movie without any Other Secondary Thoughts. I Would Say Panjaa is Above Average. Not a Blockbuster though.

Pawan Kalyan ever since his debut has been an icon for many people. Every movie of his has something different. Panjaa directed by Vishnu Vardhan is an extremely slick and stylish entertainer. Never before seen action sequences and cinematography can be observed in the movie. All actors including the new faces like Sarah Jane, Anjali Lavania and Advi Sesh have done extremely well by fitting into their characters perfectly. All though movie is a one man show with Pawan Kalyan sporting a new look and extremely stylish costumes. All video songs have been shot impressively well. The title track is the one to watch out for. Pawan Kalyan shaking his leg to it makes it all the more awesome.
Music director Yuvan deserves appreciation for amazing notes and background score in the movie. All though there was immense hype before the release of the movie, Panjaa has well enough stood the ground and stood up to the expectations. The movie is a feast for Power Star Pawan Kalyan fans. Movie lovers will love the high technical standards of the movie. Overall the movie is an extremely stylish and well directed movie. Do not miss watching it to see how the technical standards in Telugu cinema have risen. Also glad that Pawan Kalyan is back with a blockbuster.

Panja starring pavan kalyan released on December 9 with High expectations. Overall the movie is Good. The Pros in the movie are the Pavan's New Look, Direction, Screenplay and cinematography i.e Technically Movie is excellent.
Background Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is Excellent and music is Good. Comedy track between Brahmanandam and pavan and the Song between them is Worth Watching. Sarah Jane acting in her debut film is Homely. The Story line resembles Balu movie in many parts.
Overall the movie is Technically good and pavan's Stylish look and Acting is worth a Watch.

Author: srikanth from United States You can not ask for more than what this movie offers especially in its kind. Kudos topawan kalyan, what an actor TFI has got, in fact Indian cinema. He excelled in every form of acting, comedy, action, sentiment. Great job by the director and thanks to him for giving such a wholesome stylish action entertainer to the cinema lovers. He has come up with a decent story and worked really good on the screen play to make sure That audience would not get bored even for few minutes. All the artists justified their characters. No need to mention about BRAMHI and adivi shesh They just ROCK. yuvan, the music director, gave decent tunes and terrific Back ground music. Go and watch you will enjoy the movie. don't depend on reviews and ratings !!

This movie is just a copy a PK's BALU. Pavan had a new look which was a plus point for the movie. Comedy was not that good, although PK's performance was good, lack of screenplay and story could not back his performance. Brahmi's character was limited and the two lead actress are only dedicated only for songs. Panjaa title song was played at the very end and what surprised me was the first song in the movie was an item song lol A humble request to all the directors :There are millions or even zillions of PK fans all over the world please give him a good story and screenplay. Rest will be taken care by PK
Movie is good....Pawan Kalyan as usual superb...Special mentions to the costumes designer...Pawan looks trendy and dashing with cool blazers and he Danced well!!..Sesh's acting was stunning...heroines are so so...Music is xcellent especially Background score...PHOTOGRAPHY is TOP- NOTCH (Screen looks glassy and crystal clear thanks to.PS VINOD)....Direction is brilliant as per technical terms but should have added some commercial elements.
Other highlights of this movie are Paparayudu and Panjaa Songs. Paparayudu song is hilarious and composed well with good dance moments. Surprisingly the chartbuster title track comes after end titles a treat to watch.
Watch it without any expectations I m sure you will love this intense flick.

Guys, Watched movie today in Sydney... Spell bound.. What an art work.. Excellent taking... Completely different way of narrating story.. good screenplay .. would have been racy in some scenes but thats OK.. And of course Superb performance by Pawan Kalyan... Excelled in all departments .. Settled comedy , Emotional scenes , Action sequences and especially Dance... Paparayudu and Title tracks will be an eye feast... See any al pachino's movies or Cult classic Hollywood movies .. you will respect panja...
I have appreciate Vishnu's taking and Pawan's brave decision in accepting this kind of script... This is not a regular formula based movie ... You can take songs picturization as best example to differentiate.. I don't think anyone in the Tollywood till now dared to have songs also just a part of scene or story.. there are no full songs except 2.. every song is well placed.. I know people are disappointed with title track after climax.. but actually that's a good Decision.. if the song is placed as intro then movie would have started on high pitch and that won't work... This movie is a good start for tollywood to produce efficient movies and just forget about bullshit regular commercial movies....
In One word Technical Brilliance.....

One time watcher, not a great entertainer. PK with good look, Paparayudu song is the highlight for the movie. Heroine is beautiful, three songs are good.Direction is pale(dull) not a Telugu content movie. Over all one time.watcher, bad thing is movie is much like PK's Balu which is :( Director did not use Ali for good comedy and even Jackie Sharooj was not shown in a ferocious/great role it is just very same as the villain role in Balu and same back drop. One time watcher, not a great entertainer. Hello All,
The Movie is really good. Power Star had showed his power in the film with action, comedy, sentiment and everything. The whole movie is really nice without any boring scenes.
Only minus is Actresses. Music is extraordinary and even Jackie shroff acted very nice. Pawan dance is also nice.
Please don't depend on Reviews, Ratings and Outside talk. Its a complete movie. I heard that movie is average and similar to Balu Movie but after watching the movie, i felt very happy.
Go and watch the Movie. Njoy....................

plus points: pawan kalyan action bgm and music high technical values advi seshu performance songs
minus points:
slow narration in some parts of the movie
Don't miss guys.

Watched the movie today at PVR Benguluru...after missing the first day.Firstly to watch any HD movies one need to have large screen and good sound system. To watch this one need to watch that kind of theatre where it has large screen and excellent sound system..luckily i watched that kind of screen..
Second, coming to movie three members should be thankful, one power star, director Vishnu and producer ..one big wow to all to bring a such kind of feast to audiences.Screenplay, directing are damn too good that ,in t-wood industry cannot provide such kind of technical values to movies.
Story is some what in slow pace. There was less role for Jackie sher off and also scenes between the hero and his boss(Jackie sher off).First half gives some moral values and how the man is bounded by respect and loyalty.Second half tells what he missed in his life gets back in the form of heroine.
Director was new to t-wood i think he missed the quotient here because such kind of Hollywood concept and taking many people cannot receive much.so the story gets clichés between the scenes.
Two heroines are good in this movie. Both acted very well and given their best effort.Other actors just done as per the role.
Last but not the least. The whole movie bears on power star.In this he just went to another level. What i liked about hero means compared to his previous one's calmness, silence and how much character is required to played.Nowadays i think no top hero would do that. When coming to mass dance there's no doubt that no one can beat power star and very first time shown some slow pace steps.Allover its a just feast to Hardcore fans of power star
If u want mass mas-ala entertainer don't dare to watch this movie. This movie is only for who are having idea about tech values and some kind of foreign elements and also hardcore fans.
there is more to talk about but i don't want readers to study it like a book... My rating 8/10

For a film set in the backdrop of a mad, macabre mafia world, Panjaa's format is not inventively refreshing, but the way Vishnu Vardhan treats the proceedings makes this film one of the worthiest movies in the 15- year career of Pawan Kalyan. The film stands out for its technical perfection and also for the mature and brilliantly nuanced performance of its lead star. The film boasts of many interesting moments that keep you on the edge of the seat and also those heart-tugging scenes, which help you understand the mind of Jai (PK), the character around whom the story revolves.
Bhagawan (Jackie Shroff) is an unchallenged don who rules the roost in Kolkata. Kulkarni (Atul Kulkarni), has built his own empire after breaking away from Bhagawan some years ago. The film, from the word go, introduces the audience to the rivalry between these two ruthless gangsters. Jai is Bhagawan's trusted lieutenant, who promises loyalty to him till his last breath. His boss may self-delude himself that he is the most powerful, but there comes a time when Jai reminds him that it is he who is his strength.
Munna (Sesh Adivi), Bhagawan's son, is back from Australia. Oozing menace and sadism at every turn, he lusts Jahnavi (Anjala Lavania) and develops rivalry with Jai. Sensing Jai's aggression towards his son, Bhagawan demands that he be loyal to Munna the way he has always been towards him. As destiny would have it, Munna, who mercilessly stabs Jahnavi to death (suspecting that she has an affair with Jai), is killed at the hands of Jai. This is the film's game-chaining moment.
What follows is how Jai decides to leave the murderous world behind him and lead a fresh life with his sweet-heart, Sandhya (Sarah Jane Dias), in a faraway place in Andhra; how Bhagawan tries to trace him; and how the film ends on a rather violent note - a climax which may not take you by surprise, but which will make you enjoy the poetic justice.
Panjaa is essentially an action-significant film with its share of well- written emotional moments and well-executed fight sequences. Romance and comedy are there, but they are not integral to the story. Though the film would have been greatly helped by a thicker plot, Panjaa is watchable for its good performances by one and all, intelligent cinematography (PS Vinod), cinematic thrills (read believable fights, heroism), stunning background score (Yuvan Shankar Raja) and the surprising murders.
Vishnu Vardhan's treatment is wise, which comes to the fore at many places in the first half. Rivals sit around the table after a gang war and talk matter-of-fact (watch for the Kulkarni-Pawan episode after the first fight); the hero talks about his unflinching loyalty to Bhagawan, thereby establishing the mood; next, you see the trumpet blown in a club; immediately after a raunchy song, there is a scuffle and you see Jai entering the scene just in time and playing the big brother to Munna; suddenly you see Jai's inner voice telling how he has missed all the fun for the last 20 years, and the intensity is only mystified by this.
Earth-shattering moments and big-time murders come all of a sudden. You don't know when the fights begin and end. They are coalesced into the narration quite well. This is talking about the first half.
The second half is a far cry from the first. The racy pace gives way to a leisurely pace. Pawan-Sarah romance and another villain are introduced. Jai is relieved and suddenly relives his childhood for a moment. Before Jai can take the final call, Sandhya tells him that both reality and dream are Jai for her.
The sheer violence, that comes with the director's midas touch, makes it every bit a modish gangster film. There are many unpredictable moments. You never know who will be murdered next or who will pounce on who. That said, Panjaa could have been much better and sadly, it ceases to surprise after a certain point. Had the momentum been kept alive, it would have made an unforgettable experience.
Performance-wise, Pawan delivers one of the best performances in years. His looks are all right and emotes well with eyes in his characteristic style. As Jai, he is minimalist. The beard look will be remembered for long. Many years after Khushi, his fights are bohemian. He brings a certain grace to the character he plays.
Sesh Adivi is electrifying as the lusty lecher. He has a long career ahead for sure. Jackie Shroff is at his usual best. Atul Kulkarni, Tanikella Bharani and Sampath fit the bill.
Between Sarah and Anjali, it is the latter, who plays a club dancer, who is better. Sarah is a tall diva, but she looks too lean and her acting is not refined.
All in all, Panjaa is a roller-coaster ride of sorts. With its share of emotional crests and troughs and superb action, the film stands out in its own right.

Pawan Kalyan gives a terrific performance, underplays a lot, and lets his body mannerism speak more than his dialogue in key sequences. He thrives in action scenes, most of which have been slickly shot. While it is his movie on the whole, he is ably supported by the ever dependable Thanikella Bharani, villainish Jackie Shroff and Atul Kulkarni. Adivi Sesh, inspite of the length of his character, makes his presence felt as a semi-sadistic son of a villain. Anjali Lavania gets a short role on her debut, but she does enough as a club dancer who likes Pawan Kalyan. However, it is the debut of Sarah Jane Dias that becomes more noticeable, as this ex Miss India not only looks cute but also emotes well as the love interest of Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan Kalyan has done a great job, maybe many people have not understood the movie, but if you look at it now, this movie will break records. I like the movie a lot. Vishnu Vardhan's direction is very good and aadavi Shesh's acting is very good. His style should be followed by anyone. The way of showing the screen is very good and Ali has also done well and they have completed the role given to him

Together all these actors make the first half extremely gripping. Infact the way the director leads all his characters to create a conflict point at the end of first half is outstanding. But these goodies aren't enough for Panjaa, as the story runs into the second half.

I am from kerala.
Movie is simply super and its a blockbuster, its a very good trend-setting film in tollywood. Its not only a good film but its having stylish narration which is never before in telugu cinema. Its a cool film with best action packer. All records of tollywood are getting smashed with panja, The title song of panja is very good and pawan danced very elegantly. Specially the action of pawan kalyan is straight and Gunshot. Directors taking is good and a trade mark film.
Dance in Paparayadu song very good and with that much ease and with that much style only pawan kalyan can do, with no others it wouldn't have been possible. Bagged 50 crores in just 6 days is amazing and took telugu cinema to international standards. Even though iam fan of MAMMOTTY i can say PAWAN KALYAN is a crazy hero in Indian film. I never saw this type of craze for any hero. I LIKE PAWAN KALYAN NOW . PANJA stoods the standards of Hollywood. Now i feel that our INDIANS also can make Action films. I LOVE India .. India Rocks

India Rocks
