This 32 minute short film originally comprised a coda (an additional section at the end) in Wong's previous feature film,
In the Mood for Love (2000), which was edited out before the theatrical release. The scenes take place 10 years later when the main characters meet again. It was screened as a separate short film only once at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. The only released material are stills found in the book The Cinema Of Wong Kar-Wai and the 2003 Cannes Master Class Pamphlet. For his next feature film, Wong refilmed the coda/short and added to it to make a sequel
2046 (2004).
